I've been taking a good hard look at Lukosious this week.

What are people's thoughts on him? He has a super-efficient game which is definitely SC friendly, so would a another year of seasoning and potentially some further improvement from the Suns benefit him and perhaps get him up around the 95-100 point per week mark?
Very interested and is currently vying with Witherden and Docherty for a D4 spot.

With the quarter length reverting to normal it provides opportunities for defenders to register more kick ins and some cheap possessions. I would prefer to defer to a Suns supporter or QLD based SCS member, but he should be the key beneficiary at the Suns of the new rule change. He only managed 20+ disposals on three occasions last season (96+135+132) and I would not be surprised to see that double this season. Ranked 3rd for Total Metres Gained, 9th for Total Rebound 50's and Equal 10th for Total Turnovers in 2020.

Did anyone watch Luke McDonald and think he is a Jake Lloyd?

I picked him then watched him, awful! kick outs were small chips that sometimes hit a target. Was the ultimate seagull looking for backward handballs from players who earnt the ball. If north maintain is role it would guarantee some decent losses.

Is this why Ziebell has been groomed for a half back role. Maybe North don't have any idea, as Ziebell is a below average kick...........

But he can roost it long.

Can see him using the advantageous kick in conditions to put it to Goldy in the centre circle often.

Reckon Duggan will have a good start and then drop off as soon as Yeo is back, there just isnt the midfield minutes with Gaff,Shuey,Kelly,Yeo and Sheed fit for mine.
I think he could get that role if he peforms. Yeo might be out for awhile and then there is Shuey who misses with hamstrings. If there is no injuries in defence they have the depth with Witherden coming in.

I'm outside the west coast bubble, but I've always had this feeling that Sheed has always been a bit "on the edge" despite his heroics in a certain match in 2018 and a decent 2019.

Could there be a bit of an arm wrestle between Sheed and Duggan for that final spot in the midfield rotation if Duggan keeps performing at the level he appears to be currently?

Anyone else considering Caleb Daniel (545K) ? Quite unique at only 8% ownership currently.

Surprisingly little talk about him, very underrated/ consistent player - averaged 101.5 last year after averaging 99.1 the year before.

Stats from last year :-

Only 1 score under 80, very solid throughout the year.

We know the dogs love getting the ball in his hands with his decision making & execution.

Regarding this rule change :- "The Mark shall be set at 15 metres from the centre of the Kick-Off Line towards the centre of the ground at Kick Ins. This was previously set at 10 metres." This can surely only help Daniel? I recall him often playing on after kick ins, trying to create openings coming out of defence.

He is definitely under consideration. Going by the form line he looks a good bet to average around 100. At the moment I have Stewart ahead of him on price and injury discount really, but there's not much difference in terms of expected output.

But could well be in the side come R1 given murmurings of Stewart's pre-season niggles.

Daniel's a pretty safe "get what you pay for" type pick. The consistency of scoring over the season also makes him a more logical starting pick.

Re the rule change - If you assume the man on the mark can't move (until play on is called) and combine that with the fact that that person is a further 5 metres back (compared to last year), there is definitely more scope for the player kicking in to run and carry but also hit an easy target.

The way I read it, the man on the mark will now be standing 25 metres off the goal line. Presumably no other player on his team can run in any closer, which means the player kicking out has up to 25 metres of protected zone to kick into. So basically a teammate can stand 20 metres from the goal line (even 5 metres directly in front of the poor sucker on the mark) and take an uncontested mark from the player kicking in. If his direct opponent tries to follow him into that space, it'll be a 50 metre penalty. Makes for a lot of effective kicks from the designated kickers.

This new rule is going to do my head in. Good for fantasy.
