About to watch the replay so the eye test might be different. But as someone who's been big on Caldwell all pre-season it's a great score IMO and a big tick. 75DT/87SC from 67% TOG with 24 disposals. Found a lot of it and used it well - 75% DE.

Happy for him to continue to fly under the radar.
His disposal is what impressed me the most as I seem to recall there being knocks on his ball use in his draft year. Has skyrocketed up the pecking order for a cap in my side.

Somehow seemed to often get that effective handball out to a teammate when he was seemingly pinned in a tackle, quality trait to have and it is one of the little signs you look for.

I still have a bit of doubt whether he gets enough mid time to be relevant but as with many players, showing he has the scoring potential if he does get the right amount of mid time.

Yeah he seems to have really safe hands, haven’t seen enough of his kicking to make a solid judgement but he appeared to play within his means.

Really hard to make the call on such limited exposure but he’s gone marginally ahead of Heppel for me though he’s still a ways behind Green, though that could change in a couple of hours.

For those on Briggs watch.. GWS are experimenting with Ward as their backup ruckman (Finlayson on the bench in the green vest so may come on later to change that). Only problem is I don't know if there is room for Flynn and Briggs.. anyone in the GWS area that can kick Flynn in the ankle a few times? I like the idea of Briggs more so..
