GWS mids are so dominant in this game
My eye test comments.... updating every now and then through the game
Campbell - not a lot of it but he does look classy - working into it late in q2 and his kick is all i have heard - i hope he can get enough of it to be worth the premium - this is a tad concerning but I would be surprised if there are enough options out there not to pick him. Currenly i am paying an extra 14 k or so for Dow....his pedigree should bring him into my final side though and I'd be surprised if I don't start him.....EDIT I must have revved him up he is now on 83 SC LOL lock him in!
Gulden oh yeah - kind of reminds me of butters... - everything this kid does makes something happen - Lockedy Lock Lock Lokkk!
Taranto - started some CBAs deep fwd then all of a sudden he is at the next contest. Running back into the defensive 50 for a cheeky cheap plus 6 pleased me - having a big game - going to hold strong i think and not pick him but if you were planning too before this game then get the pen out and lock him in as he has done nothing to dissaude either
Jelly looks in cruise control - still really like him as a pick this year even though he hasn't been in many centre bounces yet ( a few more in Q2) - i like his style of game for 2021 so as long as he runs off the ground looking as fit as he runs on i am happy
Mills - i didn't think he had a great quarter but he still scored 26 SC - playing fully in the guts....hmmmm he was in my team before this game but he is really being taught a lesson by the GWS mids as the game goes on. I would have hoped to see him get his hands on it a lot more - 5 touches in a half for a full time mid is not what I want to spend $544 k on. I know it is only a pre season game but the pick already felt a little speculative...I am cooling - when the swans got back into the game he was in things a bit more but JPK, Parker, Rowbottom all impacted more IMO.
Warner - The CHAD! can't miss him with the pink boots and peroxide hair - he really is saying look at me to the selectors! like his game a lot - this kid seems to know where the footy is. Interested for sure if he is named round 1 - as the game goes on....give this kid a game he is great! Surely the likes of him, Gulden and Wicks play - they give the swans real energy.
Cumming - does not look great - fumbled a bit when i have seen him - i don't think i pick him after that half of footy even if he is amazing from here out. Glad I saw that this game - pass for me
Idun - i like but seems like he is in a lockdown role, really good second quarter - a few intercepts and liking his game more and more as it goes on. Pretty pricy in SC though but he is firming as a D6 option if he gets a game with Davis back. Hopefully Davis is named R1 to assess this a bit better.
Bruhn - started on ground in the fwd line and does not look out of place - wow 3 goals. I hadn't considered him all season but surely he must be in the round 1 mix now. A pleasant surprise! This is a nice game for rookies!
Green - not getting the mid time that people who are considering him would like - yet he still somehow has 47SC in 67 TOG which i am sure people considering him would like......what a beast i am not sure how that happened LOL
Briggs - honestly have barely watch him in the rucks as I am too busy looking at all of the mids around the contest. if he is named over Flynn I pick him - simples
Buckley - Had to google how he was and how much he was in SC haha....great half of footy from him. Who is not playing this week from the Giants best 22? - Davis, Whitfield, Daniels, Hogan - hard to see any of those guys being very like for like - I guess he may play games? hmmm
McDonald - just got 37SC in a quarter i think....can't argue with that! he looks great!
Towards the end of the game one of the commentators said that Gulden and Campbell both had 7 score involvements - equal best for the swans. That is some class injection into their team!
