Excellent. Slight worry that Treacy has been named in that Peel game but if he or Darcy is named round 1 then I'll back Fyfe in.

I think if both Treacy and Darcy miss then it's no Fyfe for me though. Unless Meek could be that forward target too? Or is he solely a ruckman?

Yeah fair enough re Fyfe. I think if neither Treacy nor Darcy is picked, they'd throw one of the defenders forward, rather than commit Fyfe to more forward 50 time. Not sure we can leave Tabs one out.

But I still reckon Treacy gets first go at it in round 1, given he offers that ruck support also.

Cahill is only 50/50 to be in Essendon's best 22. Could easily be replaced by Redman or Guelfi from the team that played Geelong.

Jones is a lock in our best 22 and I'm surprised he isn't more popular.

Yep I reckon Jones will be given every opportunity and has better JS than Cahill too, I'm just not sure what his SC scores will be like, think he will be inconsistent with some dud SC scoring weeks.

Cahill has a much better role with much better scoring potential. Jones I like the look of but his scoring potential doesn't look good in a pretty loaded rookie pack.

Stringer won't have any bearing on Jones. We'll shuffle players around to fit Stringer in - more likely one of the smalls (Snelling) drops out and we go tall in attack. Jones is in our 22 barring injury or a shocking run of form.

I see Jones as a bit like King last year. Most only picked him because he would get games, not expecting much scoring. Only takes a spike game where he scores 90+ to see his price skyrocket. I think Jones is one of the safer rookie picks this year and I'm surprised he's only in 7% of teams.

Not gonna lie, Titch will be mighty tempting if he lines up round 1. As Jonathan Brown would say you don't run on your face (or shoulder in this case), the fitness base should still be there. Obviously going to take a hit on the tackle aspect of his scoring though one would think.
