More interested in the rumour that Cripps is sore. Queried several days ago if Cripps was ok to see if anyone knew anything on the forum but nothing substantial was available in terms of a source...

Did he say anything re Cripps?

The Durdin rumour on BF was via a Melbourne supporter. The talk now is that O'Brien will play. I wouldn't have thought Durdin and O'Brien would both come in to the side that played the majority of the game against St. Kilda.

Nah I've got nothing on Cripps.
He's not exactly high up in the food chain in terms of the inner sanctum, but I'm sure he would've mentioned something if he had heard anything. FWIW I do know he is starting Cripps in his SC side, as I was talking to him about it 5mins ago hahaha.

This might be unpopular, but they should just make it 16 on the field and 6 on the bench. Opens up the game without adding another ridiculous rule that is hard for the umps to officiate and solves the concussion sub issue at the same time. The game and fitness levels have come a long way since 18 on the field each was selected as the right number.

This should be what they try in next pre-season best idea imo

Surely if Cripps was barely training a week out from Round 1 we'd have heard about it by now. I know he went in for scans after the pre-season game but nothing since then.

ROOKIE midfielder James Jordon will make his AFL debut against Fremantle on Saturday at the MCG.

The 22-year-old was told of the news following Melbourne’s training session at Casey Fields on Wednesday.
