Phew!! Had to scroll all the way to the next page, thought this thread would be blowing up after the Gawn "news", anyway for those who are doing Grundy into Gawn, Whos your Loop?
No idea yet, I'll see if it's necessary firstly. Most likely it will be a rookie not named who I think will get early games.

I didn't think we needed a VC/C thread for the first 6 rounds as Gawn was automatically scoring 150+ for the first 6 rounds in any case ? ๐Ÿค”

Cripps or Macrae - > Gawn
My concern now is if Goodwin is really serious to play Gawn 30% forward?
If so, how many games before he realises his mistake and decreases Gawn's forward's percentage?

Probably the game before he gets sacked ๐Ÿ˜€

I generally don't believe too much in what the coaches say.

If he is 70% forward then he is definitely F/R next year.

Think it was 70% ruck though.

I do remember watching Jackson last year and thinking this kid could very well be something special though.

Preseason positional chatter from coaches is like the old "I'm never drinking again" when hungover.

It sounds good but as soon as there's a bit of pressure, your best player goes where he gives you the best chance of winning just like I'll have a beer in my hand the next weekend! And Goodwin deserves to be under a ton of pressure this year, he's done a very poor job at Melbourne and their performance has gotten worse basically every year since he started to implement his way over what Roos had drilled in.

Back when I was young , the best way to avoid a hangover was just to keep drinking ๐Ÿ˜€

Now I am old , the hangover lasts for 2-3 days so easier not to even have 1 drink.

From a Top 4 club they haven't fallen dramatically , just wonder if Goodwin had been promised the role at Adelaide by Roo so he knows he has something to fall back on.

They actually make Collingwood look like a good kicking team when I watch Melbourne play and that is saying something.

Yep, I fixed the error.
