Wingard could rob Brockman of his spot when he comes back.

How are people ranking Berry, Brockman and Downie? Matt crouch's return seems like it will happen randomly, doesn't sound like it will be soon though. Hately any chance of taking his spot? Berry looks the best pick but that 13 from 44% game time, where he attended 5 CBA's doesn't look too good. Still he seems like the best of the 3 doesn't he?
I have them in that order.

GG's Hawks mail is always good so clear that Downie has terrible JS with him being the sub this week.

Berry and Brockman don't appear to have great JS either but I like Berry's scoring potential better than Brockman.

Would I be right in thinking I should have Fullarton and Jones ahead of McNiel and Brockman?

Fullarton/Jones/Rowe taking the bottom 3 forward spots means I have to play one of them on field every week
Whereas if I took one out for McNiel and swung an M/F forward, it would effectively push Gulden on field instead.

Correct as posted with the possibility of 1 or 2 further debutants eg Lazarro or Powell depending on their training session

Honeyball AFL site has info/updates regularly

Stephenson also confirmed previously , Cunnington to miss
Who do prefer out of the two Youngs and Clarke?

Gulden may play in the pocket

Considering bringing Downie back in for someone like Rowe (swing Brockman fwd).

Had Downie all pre-season thinking his scoring potential would be pretty good if he got a game... higher risk given his lesser JS than Rowe but can always go back to Rowe if Downie is dropped and Rowe scores well (which I doubt he will).
Rowe is in alot of sides but hes a small forward in a likely bottom 2 side, how much meat is actually on that bone? I'd rather slot in guys that will play up the ground where possible.

Ollie Henry instead then or someone else jump to mind? There aren't a whole lot of other options that look like they'll play most games even if their side is getting killed and it feels like they'll all score equally well/badly.

Currently have J Clark at D5

Problem I could have is Sharp , Koschitzke , Highmore at D6-8 so thinking of saving some $$$ and considering Cumming , H Young , Jiath , L Young , Buckley , Hamill type if necessary.

Might just wait 2 rounds and monitor the scoring.

Is that official?

With lots of early mail that Sharp is playing, what are people thinking re Fyfe who was my capt loophole?
Grundy is my VC, if he goes massive tonight (150+) it presents a dilemma for me on do I take Sharp or Fyfe so I can use the loophole.
In a funny way, hope Grundy just scores a solid 110 & I can go Gawn as capt, problem solved lol & take Sharp who does look very good.

He played up the ground a fair amount for a small forward in the SANFL, not sure how much that will carry over but I reckon it would a bit. Some players are just harder at the ball and better at reading the play and just find the ball more than others inside the F50 as well. More a Fritsch type of rookie than a Willie Rioli in my opinion.

Not official but would be the first time we see GG's Hawks mail prove incorrect I believe.
It would mean there’s either a late change in plans, or a serious communication breakdown between the selection committee, the leadership group, and the rest of the playing group based on the info I've had passed onto me the last two days.

As I said earlier, either way it shouldn’t impact SC sides. As we’ll have confirmation tonight whether he’s in the 22 or one of the four EMGs.

I'm looking at A.Fyfe as a midfield loophole.

I wouldn't factor in Grundy's 150 if he scores that too much, Gawn should go over 130, pretty easily, and could hit 150+. If Grundy scores over 200 then you might have a small dillema.

Not sure a floating donut is the way to go to start the season, you're likely to get one when a rookie gets dropped  given the generally low JS of some of the rookies. Losing one cash gen rookie could hurt early
That's the way I've approached it. Looks like we'll all have 1 or more donuts or floating donut rookies whether we like it or not, this year.
