Yeah, not sure yet, I don't have a good record at 50/50 rook selections on field. Will probably swap and change and get it wrong.
Don’t think you are alone there with the 50/50s.
Flynn at 42% vs Hunter at 23% ownership suggests majority will be running Flynn on field if going with the R2 strategy.
Tough one because Hunter looked really good in the AAMI match and we haven’t seen Flynn. GL with whichever way you go.

Make sure you watch a replay of your teams match, you can probably skip the 2nd quarter, as it was a bit one sided, the rest was a good game.

Don’t worry, a hawk friend was texting me updates. He went quiet a half time then when I looked at my phone later in the night there were 12 new texts from him ... I knew straight away this could not be good!

Seriously, I thought it was a good match, even for neutrals. Maybe not a good game for Bombers fans, but they did show a bit.

Giving up a 40 point lead is never fun to watch. But being a Bombers supporter I wasn't even comfortable at that point. I know full well what we are capable of giving up.

(Actually, it was like the reverse of last year's game.)

DEF: Laird, Daniel, Stewart, Short, Clark, Sharp, (Kosi E)
MID: Macrae, Oliver, Merrett (C) Cripps, Campbell, Powell, Berry, (Gulden, Brockman, Scott E)
RUC: Grundy (VC), (Meek)
FWD: Dangerfield, Dunkley, Ziebell, Caldwell, Warner, Fullarton (Jones, Rowe E)

Added todays first game as well. Gulden on bench no E. At least I've got him. Rowe with E, but won't sacrifice a spot by adding donuts. Would have to sacrifice Ziebell anyway and that would be beyond silly, as he's capable of scoring higher, though probably won't.

Def: Laird, Daniel, Short, Docherty, Clark, ______ (Koschitzke, Sharp)
Mid: ______, Dangerfield, Cripps, ______, Heppell, Campbell, Scott, Oea (FD) (Berry, Gulden (E), McNeil)
Ruc: Gawn(C), Grundy (Flynn)
Fwd: Dunkley, Martin, Heeney, ______, Daniher, ______ (Warner (E), Rowe)

17/1699 so far.

Very happy with my fwds of Dunkley/Dusty/Heeney. Not too upset about Grawndy, I’m sure non Grawndy sides would’ve probably copped Neale/Lloyd who I missed.

Daniher disappointing in the wet - hoping for better days. Heppell great but unfortunately went missing in the second half - looking really good though as a defender, didn’t realise he could spoil!

Final reveal:

DEF: R. Laird, T. Stewart, J. Howe, S. Docherty, J. Clark, T. Highmore (J. Koschitzke, H. Sharp)
MID: Z. Merrett, J. Kelly, N. Fyfe, P. Cripps, M. Rowell, D. Heppell, B. Campbell, T. Powell (S. Berry, T. Brockman, A. Scott)
RUC: B. Grundy, M. Flynn (L. Meek)
FWD: J. Dunkley, D. Martin, T. Phillips, J. Ziebell, J. Daniher, C. Warner (T. Fullarton, J. Rowe)

Still have $138.9k in the bank for any corrections that might be required - my strategy was avoiding the super-premos on each line as they nearly all had question marks over them relative to their buy-in price, so I wanted to wait and see how the different situations at their corresponding clubs would shake themselves out.

Trying to find a balance between that and choosing the right mid-pricers / rookies is where all of the indecision in the week or two leading up to the first game ended up being but so far it looks like I've only made one really bad choice in not keeping Gulden instead of Brockman, but I guess coming in they were both a bit of a 50-50 proposition and there was a bit of hype on both sides of the equation.
