Atkins is an interesting one. I haven’t given him any thought as I’ve been more focussed on solving problems in Def and it looks like there are plenty of Fwd rookies. I will keep an eye on him now to see how he goes for you.
Just giving the old PL thread a bump! I have had to ditch my POD in Atkins which kind of makes me sad but probably a smart move. the whole sub/JS thing has spooked me. I have ditched Grundy too which feels a bit scary but i've decided to go with my gut on that one. I have 12 premos that I like and very much going all in on the new rules with my mids having good tank.

My premo set up is

Laird, Stewart, Short:), Daniel
Neale, Macrae, Zerrett, Jelly, Gaff
Gawn
Dunkley, Martin:love:

I am away this weekend but always in reception with a close eye on the teams and the phone to ensure i get all the rookie news as they are really the only calls left to make for me.

Good luck to all and may there be an SCS member as the overall winner this year!!!

I have also pushed my team towards 12 proper Premo’s, but I still have Gawndy as not gutsy enough to move away from that at the moment and this might be a correction after R2 if it looks necessary.

I am also still running with Oliver in the Mids. Feeling nervous about him, but my recollection is that he has a pretty good tank with high TOG and he’s very durable so hopefully he doesn’t fall off a cliff. Time will tell I suppose 😬

I think someone must have got these league numbers mixed up. Surely the premier league should be the ones doing better???
It only early, give it some time.

I'm interested to hear the thoughts of anyone with Gawn, Grundy (Flynn) as rucks.

What are your thought processes? In general we need to have our best rookies on field and although its only one week, it would appear that Flynn is portenially the best rookie.

Getting him on field can only be done by trading one of Gawn/Grundy, anyone considering this?

I would not go down to a Hunter/Meek, but would consider an additional MID premium to get a Powell or a Cahill of field.

Thoughts of others in this boat?

Wait and see. It can’t be true that Rucks aren’t scoring the same but Flynn has found the magic exception.

Flynn played well yesterday but he won't play a first gamer and definite non-ruck very often. Also it was wet.

I have him at R3. Very tempted to ditch Grundy for a cash grab but might leave it a week - Meek and Grundy are also in this equation...

Apologies lads for letting the league down with a poor showing.

Worst ever start to a season for me, and not entirely sure how to fix my team with issues everywhere.
There is not much can do about bad luck, which I guess the Rowell injury did not help.

Flynn, Rowe on the bench (as I had), but I had Gulden on the bench too. Get these decisions right and it can make a hugh difference.

Glad, I'm not the only one whom got sucked into Duggan, lol, but I guess you would have a better idea than me as to his role, but maybe we both got it wrong.

Soldier on is all we can do and hope the 50/50 calls go better in the coming rounds ;)

I'm not worried on Duggan yet, Most Eagles weren't at their best yesterday and the Suns are a much improved team. Will give him another look this week.

Duggan also used the ball poorly yesterday, about 65% DE... He's usually a very good ball user.

But in hindsight, should have gone Mills over Duggan.
