Me too, 4,7 and 8, by no means on the chopping block. Bergman wasn't effective early which affected his score, Brockman made mistakes in the 3rd which brought his score down, plus only 65% tog. Sharp had a tough game in the wet, but scored 51, he's probably the weakest link atm, with Ely Smith lurking.

I thought Bergman was very good, he completely failed the SC game within the game but he played a really solid first game and got better as it went on (not something most of the kids can say this week).

Bonner injury should make it a pretty easy decision to keep him in this week for mine and I still think he's got close to the best role of all the rookies outside of maybe Jordon, Berry and Dow. Perhaps Powell, hard to read where he fits when everyone is back.

To be fair Bergman in line with Campbell, Scott and Cahill. Warner similar playing the forward end though. Gulden and Rowe were outstanding but the roles are going to be tough still.

Looking ahead to round 3 some of the rookie's could be sketchy.
Flynn,Meek and Jordon play the Sunday.
Brockman,Koschitzke play the Monday. Could also throw in J.Clark here.

We may also have to make a blind call with Bulldogs/North rookies who play the first game on Good Friday. We wont know Saturday's teams until towards the end of that game.

Does anyone know where Cahill played? Fanfooty says he played forward, but he had 5 intercepts which makes me think he couldn't have played forward. I can also only count 5 Essendon defenders (Hind, Ridley, Francis, Heppell, Redman, so maybe he was the 6th)? I know Laverde was tipped to play back as well, and he also had 5 intercepts.

I swapped Sam Berry out for Harry Jones right before the crom game, my thought process was someone with shaky JS to someone with very good JS. After just one game, it looks like Sam Berry might actually have good JS and become a must-have rookie. Jordon the other one I'm missing.

I have McNeil and Cahill as options for corrective trades. With the likelihood of wanting to downgrade one of Gawn or Grundy next week, should I do one of these rookie downgrades early (probably to Berry) to keep the option open to do the second one next week?
