Walsh dominated in there against us last week absolute gun. I can not see him losing anytime in the guts if anything Cripps might spend more time forward.
He is an absolute gun, but can play wing too. Curnow can't play anywhere else. Cripps can play forward but should be mostly in the mids. Williams should be mostly in the middle too.

I could've put Dow at 0% which is definitely a chance, but good to rotate more than just Cripps/Walsh/Williams/Curnow through there.

Not sure how SC relevant this is but I can see a world where Tom Campbell (154k) Ruck Forward is selected this week and gets a few games.

North definitely lacked a tall forward on the weekend and with Tarrant out long term and Corr in doubt moving Walker back opens up a spot for a tall.

I would prefer to see Xerri get 10 games in a row but can see Campbell getting first crack. At 154K he may be able to average 60 odd.

So with Buddy playing which gives Heeney more midfield time, who likely is the loser out of the other mids? Does this put at risk Mills scoring?
I don't expect Heeney gets any midfield time, he didn't last week that I saw and Horse and Heeney have been pretty consistent that he's a forward this year with no intention to use in the midfield.

Mills is the #1 midfielder now, as he should have been a couple of years ago, no one else is impacting him.

Parker would be forward more if anyone as he's the one who can play the role like Heeney there.

Personally expecting Buddy in for McLean would be the only change this week, if Rowbottom doesn't get up then I think probably Hayward (sadly) would get an undeserved game, possibly Bell also. I think an underdone Buddy would probably be the stay at home forward like McLean was on the weekend.

Actually think Williams will help Dow like he did in the preseason because they genuinely like Williams forward and Martin also. I think at this point Dow is probably going to get more midfield minutes and he'll either take the opportunity or be out of the side in the next couple of weeks. No point playing him out of position in an area he's proven he's no good after he's finally shown something this season playing his actual position. Especially for guys like Curnow who isn't part of the midfield if the Blues are serious about moving forward, he either finds another role which he's actually done decently before as a forward or wing or he has to make way at this point. A midfielder turning 32 who can't kick just sadly isn't the guy you priortise in a young team building for the future or not if you're serious about the team.

I don't think they'll give him over 20% CBA's tomorrow. He can stay in the side if he kicks 1-2 goals and gets a few centre bounce clearances, but I tend to agree he will be out in a couple of weeks for Betts or Cunningham, assuming the rest of our mids stay fit, which is no guarantee.

Curnow can tag which still might be needed this season. They've already moved Murphy to the forward line, I can't see them putting Curnow there or to the wing either. No doubt Curnow might be out of the team at some stage for younger players (Setterfield/Kennedy/Dow) but I think while he's playing, he's in the centre bounces.

Dow can still go 70+ tomorrow in the forward line, I doubt Teague is going to risk playing Dow in the CBA's when we want to win, it's a huge game. Dow did something poor in the centre last week and was basically relegated to the forward line after that.

Does Kosi get dropped for Lewis this week?

from HFC on Lewis.

"He was the dominant man on the field. He kicked 2.2 but that doesn't reflect his influence on the game. I thought he was a big, physical presence in the air and on the ground. He was able to have three or four score assists and just about everything he touched turned into a score for us. It was a really pleasing game from him and his leadership and influence on the game to drive our standards was also very good."

I think I heard somewhere during the week that they were happy with Kosi and the work he done.. played his role for the team, so I expect he will stay in personally..

could be 3 weeks, could be R3.If hunter struggles again one of the other two would be fast tracked you’d think.
If he struggles?
He has to ruck against Gawn... he's going to have to play out of his skin to even be somewhat effective as a negating ruck like Meek was last week. Saints will be on the phone pretty soon I think.

This is exactly right re Dow. If he plays he plays as a rotating mid, not a permanent forward. If he is not good enough, so be it, but he will be given every opportunity in that role.

Carlton need more speed around the ball. The recruitment of Williams doesn't fix that on it's own. Murphy has been transitioned out, Setterfield pushed to a more peripheral role and like you say, Curnow will be the next one to lose time in there.
