If they haven't played, you can use the trade loophole (trading the same player you already traded in to someone else) to either maintain the trade or, if you trade to the player you initially traded out, get it back.

Though personally I just wouldn't fiddle with anyone who's yet to play until you're sure of which way you want to go!
Sorry I'm not understanding this.
Once first match has commenced you can not under any circumstances or any loopholes get that trade undone. It's locked in. I've tried various methods for sh!ts and giggles in other years.

Mike, any evidence to contrary would be great, perhaps a video of you burning some trades in secondary team perhaps. (Not that anyone would have a second team...) I've read this myth a number of times, please don't propergate it without evidence.

You posted this before the season too which convinced be but I preferred my structure without him until week 1. I'm glad Dangerfield got suspended because it gives me a chance to "fix" it.
This is the common rnd1 trap. Trying to make your team look like you now wish it had looked last week. Chasing last weeks points. Dusty doesn't have the same role he had in 2017. He plays mid/fwd now and goes up and down like a roller coaster. If you really want to trade Danger that money should go towards someone who gets to chase the ball around every week.

Hi all, somehow landed in top 1k ranking which is about 50k higher than normal...Currently running with Grundy/Flynn and have Danger.
Is there any merit in going Danger down to Ziebell which will give me cash to look at possible Grundy fix next week or 400+k in the bank to take another look at Walsh/Williams/Clarke etc prior to the H2H? I have all the rookies sorted I think. Thanks

Hard to tell without seeing whole team but Ziebell looks a pretty important piece in the puzzle so I would try to get him if possible. I personally wouldn't want to hold that cash and would be looking for creative ways to spend it to make the most of your good start.

Despite starting the week thinking Dusty/Titch in for Danger/Rowell I'm now very much in the Walsh/Dunkley camp.

Just have the feeling Walsh is in for a big breakout season. His running capacity is just absurd.

My only hesitation is having Cripps and Doc already in my side as Blues premiums. Anyone else with Cripps already considering Walsh?
Started season with Cripps, Walsh and Doc. Left Williams out as too likely to miss games. Do not see any issues.

Thanks for that - was gonna hold a speculative mid R1 fail but maybe can get rid of them as well...

Going a bit left-field here and keeping Dangerfield and trading out healthy players. My trades are:

From: Greene/Phillips
To: Sidebottom/Ziebell

Feels like Ziebell is a Matt Boyd type MUST now.

Essendon supporter but cheering for Collingwood tonight (so awkward now) with Grundy(vice), Sidebottom, Maynard, Crisp

Danger > Sidebottom, I think.

Was between Zorko and Sidebum for me. Zorko scored well in R1 but apparently will play more forward in 2021 so could put in some poor scores. The extra 60k would be nice though.

Will then wait for teams. If Hunter is dropped then Hunter > Flynn.

As I suggested elsewhere if you can wait one round on the rookie trade I think that’s preferred. I don’t see that as a “forced” trade necessarily. That extra one week of intel could be really important longer term. Or it could just confirm that Jordan is indeed the man.
Imagine if next week Jordan is dropped and Henry comes back.
Good point. However only issue is - and have been burnt in the past - the next week could present other issues and you don’t have 3 trades and wish you made the trade the week before.
Henry looked pretty behind the pace - but who knows!

Thinking of giving Pendlebury the flick this week. Was very happy with his selection pre-round 1 but after watching his game it seemed he spent a fair amount of time forward and running out of half back. I’m a believer in only trading premiums if they’re injured or have undergone a role change and I’m worried he may not spend enough time in the guts to justify his price tag. I’m trying to decide between holding him, bringing in Boak or bringing in Walsh. Any thoughts from you esteemed scholars would be highly valued!

I’m intrigued, why on gods green(e) earth, would anyone trade out two guys who went all right on the weekend, for a new player 2 weeks away from being on the bubble, with a proven history of missing games? You are a gun at this Impromptu, but this is just throwing away 2 trades for no actual improvement in your team, surely?

Ziebell can wait until next week, trade out a dud rookie with some spare cash.
Ziebell likely to score better these next few weeks with Mcdonald out I would have thought. One less to share kick in's with and one less senior player to demand the ball in the backline.
I would be making him a priority trade.
