Not sure who suggested it but with all these premium defenders scores so far , moving Laird to the midfield might not be as crazy as it seems

$ 525-550k premium defenders outscoring $ 600k + mids

I was thinking the same thing. How do I get more defenders into my team? Jordan Clark and Laird to the mids maybe

A study in how they operate though:
Dusty - 5K, 6HB for 36SC
Mitchell - 2K, 8HB for 26SC (kick it more Tom!!!)
Short - 3K, 1HB for 28SC (those kicks: beautiful!)

Even some of these $ 400-475 k options are looking more viable as well , bring in now , save $$$ to upgrade elsewhere and then sideways them later if necessary.

Probably a bit hard to do when we are waiting for rookies to moo but Laird/Clark certainly open up different possibilities.

I probably need to rookie correct in Round 3.

Rookies are probably not going to increase enough until Round 6-8 (Gulden might be a season long keeper who knows).

If some of them are still scoring well and only around $ 500k they might still be better off upgrading into instead of a premium mid who might be only scoring similarly.

Have Laird & Fantasia in defence that I could use , could also use Sharp and just move Highmore & Koschitzke to the defence bench.

I dont know what people expect with Phillips - he wasn't playing last year because he is terrible at disposing of the ball and making decisions (and thats in a team that had Treloar, Adams, Maynard, etc etc). Great at running, and great at getting it. Just schizerhausen at getting it to a teammate!
