Is it harsh when a player has really poor DE and doesn't get the stats in other areas to make up for it?

Shouldn't each possession or disposal be judged on their merits?

That's not how the scoring system works though. It can be very harsh or not reflect the game at times. In Phillips' case, I have no problem with it.

I recall they were at some stage. I remember apart from Saad, the 2nd highest bounces per game was like 1.5 so pretty irrelevant.

If Short is going to take 10 bounces per game it could be though

It's a common theme... With players that have early negative actions in games... getting harshly scored for the rest of the match. Not getting the same amount of points per action as other players.

As it was said above, good teams don't bother with the tag as all those handballs aren't particularly damaging. Maybe that's a positive to o***et the other?
