Just doing 2 rookie grabs this week.

Jones - Jordan
McNeil - Warner

Will give some good $$ and can use (hopefully Ziebell, Daniher and Heppell to upgrade shortly)

That’s the plan anyway 😂

My gut was telling me all preseason ''listen to the word out of PA'' but in the end I went for the 70k saving on Phillips.
Now the 163 score is gone which might be his biggest of the year, but I agree he is likely to be a solid fwd premo.
Is it just me who builds up a hard-to-overcome-aversion to trading in players who have just gone gangbusters?
This smells of Rozee of last year. Had two good games and he then faded after I bought into him. So I agree with your feelings.

Pretty much set on Fullarton to Brockman. (Let's me get Jordan on field over rowe)

I could do Scott / McNeil to Sam Berry.

Daniher to Impey is looking very enticing for points on ground and some $.

Other option is fantasia to cumming, because he gets so many free points.

Lots to pnder this week.

My team has holes/underperformance everywhere.

Flynn doing nothing on the bench, whist other rookies are spudding it up. On field rookie are going OK, Clark, Highmore, Campbell, Gulden, Berry, Daniher, Warner, but off-field are relly struggling Koschi, Sharp, Dow, Scott, Caholl, Fullarto none of which are scoring well enough to make too much cash anytime soon.

Phillips -> Impey
Gawn/Grundy-> Meek
Cahill -> Jordan (locked)
Phillips -> Tex (purely for cash grab)

I think Duggan to Young is now off the table, but lots to think about....

There are plenty looking to get dropped ahead of him. I find him frustrating, as when he does get the footy he looks really classy, but it’s the 20minute periods of nothing in between that are killing him. I think he will click at some stage and get 25 possessions and rack up a ton, just not sure how long I want to wait for it.
Cunningham,Kennedy and Stocker all playing well in VFL practice matches, how much longer will they back in mediocrity?
They showed last year they weren't afraid to drop him.

Keep in mind, when you trade a player in, you are not looking for him to be (in this case) a top 6-8 Fwd, you are looking for him to be a top 6-8 Fwd, from the point in the season you traded him in, until the end. It's no good trading a player in, and getting to the end of the season, and saying "he finished the number 5 Fwd", if he was the number 12 Fwd for the period he was in your team!
Thank you for these wise words.
I think unknowingly all of us that have the aversion to trading in a player after a high score have been thinking this all along but could not put it into words.

Hawks have the late game this week. Is Brockman JS good.?
Have Jones stinking up the FWD line.?

Missed the Hawk v Tigers but will watch it tonight. Did look lively in RD1 and a good return against the Premiers.

Rozee averaged 135 after 2 rounds last year, averaged 59 for rest of year.

We've learnt something in two rounds, but not everything
Good point, Rozze to return could hurt. Might just do Gaff to Impey via DDP and Jones to Brockman. Puts some cash in the account for Neale round 6.

Can you trade in a rookie with a floor of 20 though? Just not sure the consistency is there.

Williamson, and Setterfield were considerably worse, but yes if they drop 3 he's out

Have been dead set on trading Neale since Friday night. Now that I can, just not sure. I have all the main rookies. Have held Dangerfield so thinking that if I hold Neale as well, that even though I am not scoring well at the moment if I hold Neale as well I will be a few trades in front of most come the later rounds. This is of course if Neale and Dangerfield are must haves later?
Advice?
I’m in the same position. Told myself as the start to hold premiums and trade others for cash generation in the early rounds as it’s harder later. You’re not alone, chin up.

Neale + Caldwell to Titch + Jordon?
Bank the $386, 400 to use to upgrade Rowell?

Let me know if its a good idea
Do you have all the must have rookies ?

Last chance to get them this Round before price changes.

If you still think Neale is going to be a Top 8-10 mid I would keep him and just hope his scoring improves ASAP.

Even if he drops to $ 600k in a few rounds he will still probably need 2 perfect downgrades to make it happen.

Surely you are not going to upgrade Campbell , Gulden or Jordon in Round 5 or 6 to try and get Neale back.

Onfield rookies are strong , scoring points , making $$$.

The majority of people's bench rookies look poor $$$ generators already.

I don't own Neale btw.

Why don't you do :-

Caldwell - > Jordon
Rowell - > Mitchell

I'll probably take the chance this week to grab a couple of the rookies, I've got Neale, Taranto, Cripps & Phillips who are all a concern but it's probably a more pressing need to grab the rookies before they get away from me.

I've got 168k in the bank so I have a couple of options.

Rookies on the chopping block are Ollie Henry, Harry Sharp, Anthony Scott and to a lesser extent Fullarton as he probably holds his spot. Don't have any DPP down back so will probably have to hold Sharp which is frustrating as I won't be able to use him as a FD this week on Thursday night.

So I've got a couple of options, I will probably bring Jordan in for Scott, down forward I can either go the cheaper option and trade Henry for Warner or I can go Henry up to Impey. Impey looks to have a good role and if he continues to score well his cash generation will probably be similar to Warner anyway.

So at this stage I'll be going Scott > Jordan and Henry > Impey.

Rookie correction time

Cripps - > Jordon
Hunter - > Warner via Fullarton

Hopefully :-

Highmore
Campbell , Gulden , Jordon , Powell
Flynn , Meek
Warner

continues to work onfield

Koschitze , Sharp
McNeil
Fullarton
Rowe , Scott

could be $$$ generation concerns + a donut in Fyfe
Need to hold Cripps and keep my structure

13 + Fantasia & Ziebell + 7

Highmore
Campbell , Gulden , Jordon
Flynn , Meek
Warner

hopefully get the job done , just if the Bench doesn't generate $$$ it might not be much point

So it will be :-

Hunter or Fullarton - > Warner
Sharp or Fyfe or McNeil - > Jordon

slides Berry & Powell to the bench

Just hope Cripps shows signs of improvement or fix him Round 4.
