Just need Bryan to come out and smash back to back 💯's and see how people with premium rucks then react.

Lobb possibly back Round 5 , Marshall & Ryder soon just need to figure out the timing now.

Treacy may not play as much as people are anticipating.

Just need the F/R link on one line in case.

Not sure the bench forward rookies will have mooed enough by Round 7 to get Coleman-Jones as well.
There's a lot of variables at play and it's very hard to plan with different scenarios.

Both Treacy and CCJ may not play as much as we hope and maybe Bryan will.

What we do know is that Hunter will be gone in 3 weeks (or so). He wont have made much cash so who do you trade him to?

Fullarton seems assured of game time for 3 games at least, who do you trade him to?

We do know that Flynn will hold his spot so he's the prime upgrade, it's the timing that is the issue.

I think Meek will earn $ that will help with his upgrade after swapping in Treacy/CCJ/Bryan in concert with Hunter and Fullarton.

It's gonna take some trades to upgrade the rucks, but we knew that from the start. With the premos that I brought in to help cover not having Grawndy assisting with scoring I am quite happy to juggle ruck rookies and earn enough (with a little help) to cover the major cost of upgrading.

Basically we're getting 7 ruck rookies, to me I think it's madness to not take advantage.

Timing is the key though.

Edit.....I think we need 2 F/R links to take advantage.

Hunter was always the first trade out , if he makes a small amount of $$$ that's a bonus.

Once the Marshall/Ryder situation is 100% confirmed he gets traded.

I set up DPP on every line so he can be traded to a D , M , R or F rookie simply enough.

As poor as Fullarton's scoring is if he keeps playing he is a warm body.

Actually think his DPP has always been the major importance.

I have no idea on the ruck situation at Essendon re Bryan , Phillips & Wright.

Wait and see if he (Bryan) is selected and what he scores.

Flynn & Meek both needed 6 games to see if it works.

Round 7

Meek down
Flynn up

or another rookie down , Meek up

Hopefully by Round 7 the Ruck situation for the season is clear.

If Flynn can maintain 80+ ride him out as long as possible.

Timing will be everything how & when people can upgrade Highmore , Campbell , Gulden , Jordon & Warner.

Again if 2 of them are 85+ ride as long as possible.

I think the key is keeping a F/R ruck for the link to open up trade options as long as possible.

Worse comes to worse , you absolutely nail D1-6 , M1-8 , F1-6 and play a Goldy , Lycett , Marshall , Nic Nat at R1/R2 if they are going 105-110 to Gawn , Grundy 110-115.

But lots of things to pan out , just need to assess all available options and make the right trade at the right time.

Footywire have Meek at $ 248,700.00 after 3 price changes.

Might be too early for a bench downgrade to get that magical $ 150k.

If Grundy doesn't destroy his BE v the Lions he could be just under $ 600k.

Get a 6th game out of Meek (who knows maybe Darcy gets dropped before Meek) and the bench rookie and it could be possible to get :-

Bench rookie - > new rookie
Meek - > Grundy

if you say have a Bank of $ 150k (Hunter trade hopefully gives $ 50 k ish)

Their could even be several alternative to Grundy.

Not sure how accurate Footywire is for projections but it works for me.

Agree with what you're saying.

Fullarton's DPP, as you say, is a major benefit because you can trade him to any line. Treacy and CCJ offer the same benefit and it looks like 1 or both will be available once Hunter is dropped and hopefully another Fwd rookie (ideally) has mooed enough for a trade in. I would want to bring in both for the flexibility and cash gen. The Don's ruck situation is a wait n see at this stage but I'm definitely ready to pull the trigger once it is clarified.

I think that it's vital to have different strategies to achieve the required result which is the upgrade of the rucks. It's the hardest line to upgrade because of the limited opportunities and therefore you need to be steadfast in achieving the outcome of 2 x high priced upgrades on that line.

We don't necessarily need the ruck rookies to provide the $ for upgrades but they're going to be there anyway and with DPP's it makes sense to utilise them.

If my fielded ruck rookies are scoring as well as any other rookies on field then I'm happy, if the benched ruck rookies are making $ then I'm doubly happy.

I'm not expecting to get to a premo ruckline much before the byes, if I do then that's a bonus. I've budgeted 6 trades to get there, whether that's my 1st lot of culls is yet to be seen but I've set that line as my priority at this stage (if the rookies are scoring well then they'll be handy through the byes)

It's very hard to build a bank when there are so many other shiny things to distract and so many different ways of skinning this particular cat.

I spent weeks and weeks writing notes on starting the rookie rucks and going through different scenarios to what might happen , could happen or I hope will happen.

Basically it involved all 4 of them playing as close to the first 6 games each as possible.

Round 7 would hopefully then be able to bring in a Premium ruck (Gawn or Grundy probably preferred) but it could be Goldstein , Lycett , Marshall or Naitanui.

I think the game could get away very easily without a Premium Ruck from Round 7.

Hunter downgraded to ???

Another rookie downgraded to ???

Hopefully upgrades Meek.

(need to reassess the Freo situation when Lobb returns)

Bryan opens up new possibilities.

Round 3 I need to rookie correct.

Round 4-6 just need to be patient and trust my 13 premiums (including Cripps) and Fantasia & Ziebell.

After 2 games

Highmore
Gulden , Campbell , JordOn
Warner

all look viable (hopefully onfield) for another 6-8 rounds minimum

Hopefully my bench also does its job (currently I am confident 2-3 make enough money) so the others could present problems (as long as they keep playing they should make $$$)

So if I can trust everyone onfield I can focus my first upgrade into being a premium ruck.

I then need to work out who my remaining premiums are going to be on each line and how and when to get them

eg
D: Ridley , Whitfield (?)
M: Mitchell , Neale + tbc
F: Dangerfield , Marshall (?) or Sidebottom

With perfect downgrades I budget $ 575k for a upgrade (hopefully I get 3-4 closer to $ 525k)

Fingers crossed Fantasia & Ziebell can go 85+ and be last upgrades.

Plenty of different scenarios and flexibility.

If my bench can't generate enough $$$ I may need a cheaper compromise at D6 , M8 & F6 (time will tell)

Round 3 is my favourite round , we get price changes and then can get serious about BE , cash projections/losses and then start a real trade road map.

I agree lots and lots of shiny new toys , just got to stay focused and work out the priorities.

The way it's looking, one upgrade in the rucks first up should do the trick until the byes. Time will tell.

I'm struggling a bit with my rookies this week, but possibly for a different reason to others. I only have 3 rookies on field and I am finding it difficult to decide which ones to bench, there's going to be some I would rather have on field. Not the problem I was expecting to have with rookies before Rd 1!

If you are wondering why so few, I will have 5 players on field now in the 200-299K bracket after trades - not the usual set up but my structure did work reasonably well for me last round.

It won't be a good tactic for everyone, but I am actually looking at possibly benching Gulden this week against the Tigers if my emergency does well enough (Berry). Suns potentially seem to be an easier opponent than his first two, against the Cats and Swans, so I wouldn't be surprised if Berry gets a good score. Lucky I have the ability to loop players I guess - not sure why so many here have gone without a floating donut this year, Saunders has probably been my most important player so far!

Tex Walker. Can someone assist on cash projections.

If I assume Tex to average 75 over the next 5 weeks, how much cash does he make.?

looking to replace Jones from Essendon.

Appreciate any projections.

According to TooSerious, if he scored 75 over the next 2 weeks, he would peak at about $387k, having only made about $90k.
