I think you have it all backwards, back in the rookies who are playing a home game vs the much much poorer opponent than the Bulldogs.

Except Berry can’t find the ball and is tackling so much for a guy playing 50% midfield

The worst possible scenario, can't be used as a loophole and basically doesnt play.

And kills short term cash generation if he plays small game time. If named as sub I will be looking to trade I think.

Would prob E Powell and use Fyfe for donut. If Powell fails then play Berry.

Maybe I just play Berry and hope he can find the ball a bit more, don’t think he can sustain his tackle numbers, Powell played decent against Port but I guess for a midfielder the dogs are an even worse match up, probably the worst of all

If you have a lot of doggies players... play Berry so you have someone to cheer for in the later game.

Powell's a Mid and Rowe is a Fwd, I presume you have dual position players that you can swap?
I have benched Powell because he plays the WBDs, who are are strong team, while Rowe has an easier game at home vs the GCS.
That's my thinking.

So think I'll have to forgo Grundy's VC score and go with Macrae as my C, and continue with my planned trades - bringing in Jordon and Impey.

Had I looked at the fixture more carefully before the round and properly considered the machinations of the long round and rolling teams, I probably would have put the VC on Macrae anyway. As it was I couldn't see anyone jumping out at me for the C after Macrae. I think in the long term the money will mitigate any points lost which hopefully will be minimal and possibly Macrae could go... I won't say it.

With our injuries he probably survives, but I'm not sure. Stringer, Perkins, Waterman to come in possibly Guelfi... could take his spot. I hope they continue with him. The consensus is we're trying to turn him into a defender when he's not one, which is something we've got a history of. Possible move back forward where he has played most of his footy? I'll see if I can garner anything from BB. It's a bit of a mystery to me how we set up this week.
