Traded Merret for Tex in a restructure hail mary. But it has now opened up a path to get a premium ruck in much earlier and after a 130... Go Texan!

Need a big C score to get ground on the Grundy types in leagues, so Clarry it's up to you! Hoping you are strong enough now to just brush past MDB if he goes the tag

Thanks @Tamuhawk
While you're at it :) do you think its worth going Dow to either Impey or Atkins? F6 is such a lottery at the moment.

So take the E off Flynn and put it on Kosi and C Highmore. That should work.

I have no info on Atkins but 293k is an awful lot to be spending. He almost needs to be a keeper at his price. Impey does look better as he can make more cash. But not sure it's worth trading out Dow who has decent js for the next 6 weeks.

Out Caldwell ($348,600) in Tex ($298,200)
Out Scott ($102,400 ) in Impey ($212,800)

Was originally going to trade in Jordon and Warner but upon further reflection can see that in the forward line, Tex and Impey will potentially still make money but sitting at f5 and f6 they also provide a chance, a longshot chance, to become keepers or at least closely monitored long term prospects...probably more so than the two rookies Jordon and Warner. Forced trades are already causing me some concern.
That moment when you get that hollow feeling in the pit of your stomach for not trading in Tex is right about now, gulp
That moment when you start thinking season 2022 isn't really that far away, is it? :ROFLMAO::cry::sick:...one must have the courage of their convictions :).

So if Walker's new price is $ 410k , what does that actually make his PTA ?

Obviously missed his biggest (assumingly) price rise , so the equation changes now as to whether he can be a season long keeper.
Based on starting prices it looks like around 76-77 , not sure if that changes or not due to the MN reducing.

I guess it then comes down to how much he can score above that from now on as to whether he is a successful pick going forward or not.

Ideally we want our players averaging closer to 103.

So I guess it then comes a matter of where we can make up any additional points or use the money "saved" if indeed Walker does maintain his premium scoring.

Now that is one hell of a massive decision and deserves to be rewarded , well done.

I think I need to fast forward my Flynn/Meek - > premium ruck thinking to Round 6 or 5 just no idea how yet , need to do something creative and out of the box to get a massive cash hit.

My bench won't be that useful in that short space of time especially with 3 of them DNP this round & another 3 slowly crawling to a $ 100k profit (if that).

With Highmore being dropped , D6-8 becomes a early worry as well , come on Koschitzke.

It's the fact that 25k coaches brought him in, I never imagined so many would.
If many of those coaches have all the same must have rookies as people like us, plus the Tex money, It puts us non owners way behind the eight ball.
It is an early game changer for mine but I won't be bringing him in now, I'll just watch that train chug off into the Adelaide sunset.
I would normally agree with that. Not sure he is a keeper, the fact he played Swans and did well made a big difference to me.

However, he does play NM this week and Bruce kicked 10 goals. I assumed he may get an 80 vs GC then restart his cash generation after that.

I missed a Berry to get Tex, so the advantage is only ok, probably $50k. The major difference would be those that did Neale to Tex, instant $170k.

Think with all the Neale injury talk we will see Neale to Tex trades increase this week.

I’d be very surprised if Tex was one of the make or break trades of the year. Likely had 3 of his 5 biggest scores for the season already.
I dunno mate, could continue to dominate week after week, kicking bag after bag, and polling 3 votes after 3 votes.

I may or may not have put some coin on him to win the Brownlow at 151 😂

to all those that think that Tex was not the great trade of the round I suggest to go and read this Aesop's fable:
The Fox & the Grapes

A Fox one day spied a beautiful bunch of ripe grapes hanging from a vine trained along the branches of a tree. The grapes seemed ready to burst with juice, and the Fox's mouth watered as he gazed longingly at them.
The bunch hung from a high branch, and the Fox had to jump for it. The first time he jumped he missed it by a long way. So he walked off a short distance and took a running leap at it, only to fall short once more. Again and again he tried, but in vain.
Now he sat down and looked at the grapes in disgust.
"What a fool I am," he said. "Here I am wearing myself out to get a bunch of sour grapes that are not worth gaping for."
And off he walked very, very scornfully.

Nice post. There's been a lot of that this weekend. First it was Grundy non-owners, now it's those who didn't grab Tex. Happy to have Grundy but I'm trying hard to comfort myself about missing the Tex Express

Highmore out means I don't have to use Fyfe to bank Grundy's x2 score, which means I also don't have to take Powell's 49. Phillips to the mids. Now to decide which MIDPRICE forwards I trade in for Caldwell and Jones. Thinking Atkins and Impey. Gosh, it feels dirty.

Thinking Atkins might be like the 2020 Jordan Ridley, to a lesser extent. I'm hoping he becomes my F6, a bargain for 293k.

8/1052 Grundy well done tex traders; looked at the tex option - decided to stick with the plan. holding my breath on clark starting! Getting cranky at Danger sitting on my bench drinking bloody pina coladas or tipping his captain hat while i am left having to toss up between rowe/jones/brockman/powell
