This Geelong monday game is really doing my brain in.

Original plan was Jones/Dow to Warner/Impey. But I have Clark/Koschitzke as D5,6

Just tinkering I see I can go Jones to Warner as planned, then Phillips to Ridley pushing Clark into the mids which can then at least have Sharp as a floating donut. And if Clark is cooked I can downgrade him.

That however leaves Dow/Brockman at F5/6. But if Phillips does end up being a poor pick that doesn't matter as much. Also makes me feel better on passing on tex as that move cant happen with him.

I can also do similar but Cripps out instead of Phillips.
I can also do Jones to Warner. Then wait until monday which the two options would be..

Phillips to Impey or Clark to Jiath if Clark is not in. Dont like that though.

  1. Sharp to Warner
  2. Dow to Impey
When is Round 4 thread open? LOL

I know it sounds crazy and sorry Pies supporters but holding Maynard and Crisp is quite painful when they barely reach 80s and Ridley and Mills looking super elite.

When you hold so-call set-and-forget Maynard/Crisp and you are actually happy they score 80s is a really bad sign...LOL..

Geez I really hate side-trading so-called premiums.

If he can get to $ 450k in 3 rounds he then becomes a very easy option to a R1/R2 (hopefully we have worked out the best 2 Rucks by then)

He still is only making that $ 150k profit though and "costing" me more to get him , BUT in that 3 rounds how much more does he score over a rookie.

I actually think the aggressive play this round would be to get Ridley & Walker.

The smart (long term) play is to possibly get the best rookies I am missing , but is that too safe and conservative.

Posted about it 😀

Went safe and conservative in the end

Having a look at Selwood. Has started the season well. Not sure how long it will last. Someone talk me out of it
I think he stepped up massively with Danger missing. Would not bank on that continuing. Menegola also out that game, along with Duncan, if I’m not mistaken.

Can still turn it on, but won’t do it anywhere near often enough in my view. Sacrifices his game for the side.

Risk of rest. Plays for Geelong. Will get hit in head, concussion risk. #duckwood.

Stop reading. End of Post. No, really, stop.

That said, I picked him up in draft. Fit. Looks uninjured (has been injured in last couple of seasons). Back playing inside mid. Bloody good at football. Plays in one of the stronger sides who should get more than their fair share of pie.

I really like the pick as a value play, give it an assessment when Danger comes back, but the two can coexist in the mid, it's just whether they do with Menegola Duncan et al when all back. (Please don't send Danger forward again!)
