Yeah you're right. I thought that too. No other forward is out performing him. The way he's playing. He looks so fit and confident. Not to mention he's a bloody good set shot
Just on Dow, I don’t think he’s going to get dropped this week. Teague mentioned him first in his post-match conference as one of the players that can run through the mids / rotating players through there etc.
Just in case people are hoping to use him as a loop possibly for VC / bench score.
Will most likely be getting Chapman for one of my non-playing rookies.
Would love to find a way to get Jiath/Cummins to sure up my D6 spot which is looking like a liability right now but Phillips is the closest thing I have to being worth trading and I was actually very happy with his game today, still he might allow me to do some things which could make it worthwhile and it feels like I've read the forwards pretty well as a position so can probably afford to take a structural risk.
$600 short of getting Kosi out for Chapman (not much cash in the bank), unless I go a week early on Waterman (from someone like Bergman). Or could cull Clark early.
140k over so could take Gawn instead, or someone pricier than Jiath. Walker is an obvious option but would involve bringing another rookie Mid on-field which would be bad.
I’m willing to concede the 3 rookie ruck has failed for me. Not totally but definitely for overall. The only small advantage was it allowed me Doch at D6 which worked with Highmore being dropped.
Any love for Burgess? From what I can find Gold Coast don't really have a ruckman meaning he could be the man for the next few rounds. $210k and coming off an 86.. probably not as good as Chapman as an option though..
Which back should I be targeting to get in? I have Laird, Stewart, Daniel, Ridley, Short already, and I want to take the back rookie out of the equation. Mills @560k has my attention, or is the answer always 'Seagull Lloyd'?

He's definitely intriguing. Showed some good followup work against ROB and was a pest around the stoppages. He did seem to blow up very fast though aerobically which could be a concern. They don't have much in the way of options though.
Definitely a bit of a Clark/Stef potential there and his leap actually allowed him to compete at the CB as well.

I think the preseason concerns on Lloyd have so far been played out fairly accurately. With Dawson and Campbell taking some of the kick-ins and the Swans a better side he doesn't have quite as much supply going on. He's still a solid 110+ guy though.
Mills is the riskier play, personally don't think his average is a fluke or unsustainable, he's our best midfielder and he does a bit of everything for fantasy purposes but there's definitely a very small sample size to work from compared to Lloyd's.
Lloyd is the safer bet for your final pick though so probably makes sense.
Possibly. Which would be a shame because I think Meek has taken his chance.
They appear to be working Darcy into that Ruck position week by week which could be trouble for Meek. (I'm a poet and didn't know it)
They flew Treacy over so he could get the experience of being part of the team. Bit weird if you ask me. Is he 5 years old? Maybe it just meant he could visit his family.
I'm closing my eyes, sticking my fingers in my ears and yelling lalalalalalalalalala.
