Man that's a tough one. I started Impey so have a natural bias there. But any recommendations for not getting on the Tex Express so far have had to eat humble pie rather quickly afterwards - that it's hard to bet against him at this point.

Obviously it was much better to either start them or jump on last week but both I still see as viable options even after one price hike. Worse case they make another $75-100K and you bail at some point for a top line premo. Best case they become a keeper and continue to punish all the coaches who don't own them.

After the Impey trade is 70k or so.
Was thinking holding the last trade for Kosi to Chapman if need be...
With your remaining trade and cash, I would recommend trading Sharp or Fyfe to Chapman. Removes a donut and the reliance on fielding Koschitzke if Highmore continues to miss.

Getting Nervous on Cripps. Was luck with two goals and a few soft fee kick. Cripps Won’t lose much over next few weeks unless he has a stinker, it’s points I’m after. Have all the good rookies. Currently top 1500.

With most eyeing of Chapman for DEF, I am thinking Lyons. Highmore should start this week and I have Kozi and Sharp on the bench.

With Neale looking to be on reduced time or even rested does Lyons become an option. One of the few whom have (3)100+ Scores beside their name after 3 rounds and only 1% ownership. Has a decent history of playing every week.

Will Leave me with 26 trades.

Is the Lyons call to risky at this point of the year.?
cripps score is what it is. Looked better, running more, not going to cost money, Hold. Said the same last week.

Where has there been the least roomies - Defence. Kozi and Sharp is weak bench strength, are they likely to be there in a few weeks time when u have an out, unlikely. Chapman is cheap insurance, talent. Hopefully gives us 60’s and makes $150k although has higher potential.

Lyons - base your decision on Neale being there, not the other way around is my conservative opinion. If you like him on that, then consider.

Trying to decide who to bring in for D5/D6. Have Ridley Impey Tex already

Lloyd/Chapman
Houston/Chapman
Cumming/Jiath - would mean bringing in Lloyd super late
Cumming or Jiath/Chapman

Cumming and Jiath literally same price - need a second opinion if anyone can help!
I'd be going the premo and rookie personally.

Same question as Kennychao - what is the best back combo for cash generation balanced with scoring?

I'd go Lloyd and Chapman. Cumming has some pretty poor injury history and it is a GWS player. Having a top Defender come in is best.

Good question I’m debating it myself.

Both at their price now really need to be low end keepers to be successful trades.

Neither have averaged enough before to become keepers. Impey has never averaged more that 74, but some of that was as a small forward, when did he become a running back? Walker hasn’t averaged over 67 in the past three years, but just looks so dangerous when he is near the ball and a fantastic kick.

Just realised DeGoey to Chapman wouldn't work at that point for me as Scott and Campbell are my M/F swings and both will have played before Freo team is announced.
Hopefully Longmuir confirms Meek in or out early
That's tough. If you currently have a high ranking I would probably be aggressive and bring in Grundy. If you didn't have a high ranking I would punt on Meek being picked and making more cash with the downside being a rookie donut. If I had to bet on it I think Meek stays in the team.

Could they both end up being traps?

I think Meek probably stays too, but if Lobb is back in a week or 2 he may be on borrowed time.
After some more thinking I've decided I will get Grundy in, as I really need that Captaincy option as well as security in my ruck division.
If there's no word that Meek has been dropped in next couple of days I'll hold DeGoey and trade Doc to Chapman, allowing Hunter to Grundy (Meek to R3).
Doc doesn't deserve to be traded but it's an opportunity to restructure given I have 6 premo def, with no Lloyd (oops). Could trade Caleb Daniel or Tom Stewart instead, but I feel a big Daniel score coming soon (plus he takes most kick-ins) and I prefer Stewart for his bye round over Doc.
Thanks for sharing your wisdom with me @freowho... it really has helped me work through it

I started Impey and brought Tex in. Tex has a good run for three games, should get to $500k-525k. cannot throw an 80 otherwise stalls at $500k. Should be solid this week. cash regeneration only, expect, he may slow down against good sides. I will be surprised if he is a keeper.

Impey has a ziebell type role this year and unless he is shutdown, should push $400-500k. given his price is 118k cheaper, I would be picking him out of the two.

history not as relevant as Impey new to this role and Tex is fitter, tackling more and fast flowing game suits him. Adelaide also looking for him and doesn't have that much competition in the team.

I'm not sure Impey needs to be a keeper to be a successful pick. If he makes $150k and keeps a dodgy rookie out of D6 I think that would be a win. Strongly considering Impey myself straight for Young instead of Chapman (similar to @gunslinga) and bring in Chapman for Kosi if Highmore is not selected. Allows for an easy upgrade if he doesn't bomb.

Last weekends team as it was on the ground. Scored 2163, 167k in bank.

Plan is Martin to the mids via Rowe, Henry to impy who's looking like a keeper.
Kosi (rubbish) to Chapman.

Weekend team, ignore the c and vc choices atm.
Expecting highmore to return very soon, and Campbell's playing Nth so expecting a bounce back.
Thoughts and feedback greatly appreciated.
