Is Fullarton > Waterman even worth the trade though? 60k profit for a replacement that could easily just max out at 200-250k.
I'm inclined to just keep Fullarton for his DPP and save the trade.
It's a fair question, but given Waterman is only $102k and has shown a good scoring profile (he was on track for another ~80 point score last night but was a bit unlucky and didn't do quite enough when the game was on the line). Even if he just scores 60's he will make good coin fairly quickly as well as be semi reliable fwd line cover and could be a handy rookie to loop. It's basically 60k profit from a rookie correction for mine, but I think we have different views of Waterman as a player!
Fullarton went to Ridley for me this week. Ridley matching any upside from Fullarton at his current scoring rate for this week.
Always challenging when someone still getting a game, had three cracks and rucked last week for 48 is not inspiring.
Waterman - positive that we have seen a win and loss for Bombers, 55-85 is his range.
Essendon have Lions, Pies, Carlton, Giants, Dockers and North. Those last four are pretty attractive.
Don't want to be doing to many sideways rookie swaps, however, with Chapman on the radar this week, Kozzie, Brockman, Rowe, Bergman (maybe Highmore) could all be getting hard looked at.
Need some bench cash generation (on field is not good enough) and post round 6-7 it does get light for quality rookies based on history.
