Waterman a must have?
When looking who is coming through, he is upgraded to must have.

The must have question can be deceptive, as we often say no. We probably need to stop ourselves asking is this a 3 hat restaurant, when the alternative is the soup kitchen! :ROFLMAO:

Following week Jones is probably on the radar, in a aide that has a few defenders out injured and back in 3-4 weeks.

Then we want to be moving to upgrade mode round 7.

We will likely need to start culling on field rookies to get our upgrades, which we dont like to do. Thus a bench player comes on, all who lack scoring power.

With no VFL last year and history suggesting rookies after round 7-8 that start playing are pretty weak, we may has serious DNP issues by bye rounds.

Only hope is Bucks goes to rebuild mode.

Dont be fooled by team values, concentrated in a few good players and some returning injury guys.

I really need a ruck of some description. Flynn, Meek and Treacy atm. Meek probably my lowest on-field scoring player, so maybe Meek and Kosi to Hickey and Waterman, leaving an even 50k ITB. Could get Steele if I traded Phillips

Could also go:
Daniel and Phillips to Gawn and Waterman, leaving $204k and next week Kosi for Jones.
OR
Daniel and Campbell to Gawn and Waterman, leaving $69k and next week Kosi/Highmore to Jones.

Having Gawn gives me a captain option I've been missing this year.

Campbell > Waterman is on the table.

Contemplating a 2nd trade of Jelly > Parks via Laird. Gets me 2 rookies on the bubble and enough cash to upgrade Hunter > Gawn next week. Means that I have to field 10 rookies with Parks at D6 for a week as I'll (more than likely) bring in Jones for Kosi next week. I miss out on Treacy's bubble game though.

Are these sensible trades? or am I better off holding Jelly, going Kosi > Parks this week and bring in Hunter/Meek/Fullarton > Treacy and Highmore > Jones next week and keep building my bank for upgrades?

I have the cash plus Daniel and Phillips. So looking at these stats I feel the time is right to just bite the bullet and get the big fella in.

Issue now is that Daniel will carry the 19 through his EOY average along with any rookie player that covers him this week for his 1 match suspension and for me that's Kosi or Highmore so a donut......and I don't eat donuts!

Theres three ways i can go this week but i have no clue. Choose your favourite option.

1. Neale + Sharp = Waterman +Guthrie/Steele. (Not overly happy with this but i feel it could have a bigger upside)
2. Briggs/Sharp + Highmore/Flynn = Jones(Port) + Treacy/Gold coasts rookie ruck if he is named? (pure cash generation and subs)
3. Hold trades, even though 3-4 rookies are not playing at the moment. (Safest approach)
Cash in bank = $215k
Trades left 27 (wouldve been 28 but had to grab Chapman from Kosi)

Was planning on trading Daniel regardless but the suspension locks it in for me especially because my bench cover is Highmore and Sharp who are unlikely to play.

So I have two options and one involves a bit of a re-structure.

1. Daniel & Campbell to Bowes & Waterman
2. Daniel & Campbell to Dunkley & L Jones

First option leaves me a bit exposed up forward with Waterman, Rowe, Fullarton and A Scott at F5-F8.
Second option means I go one week early on Jones and both he and Chappy are at D5 and D6 with just one of the above mentioned forward rookies on field.

Thoughts on which option is best?

I would probably go the second option. Would be a nervous wait depending on 2 of those FWD rookies on field to perform. Then you have the gamble of trying to figure out which 2 are going to score the best.

Butters is gone for 6-8 weeks mate.... trade
I've heard 8-10, but either way he'll need to be traded.
With an injury though, they're not loosing money unlike someone with poor form, so you can take a week or 2 to get an advantageous trade ie someone bottoming out.

A couple of options I'm looking at:

Butters -> Gawn this week (via DPP magic)
Butters -> Danger in a couple of weeks (counting on a Danger price drop)

I would go with Dunks over Bowes after seeing Bowes for only four weeks.

Jordon to Waterman I think, not ideal but Jordon isn't getting enough tog and wouldn't be surprised if he is the medical sub soon.
