option 1. Daniel/Jordon > Luke Ryan/Waterman and 250K
or
option 2. Daniel/Campbell > Chapman/Gawn and 3.5K

should have thought harder about it last week I suppose.
problem with option 2 is
Def D5-8 is Clark/Chapman/Kosi/Highmore
Fwd F5-8 is Daniher/Rowe/Treacy/Jones and R3 is Flynn with Gawndy in place.
God knows where money will come from for trades. Leaves me with 24 trades.

Option 1 has Flynn/Treacy at R2/3 - Marshall a mile off and who knows what happens to Flynn? At least I will know if Flynn is playing before I have to trade Campbell in for the Gawn option.

Reading others trades option 3 is Daniel>Jiath and Jordon>Hickey and 110K. Problem with this one is at least one and probably two trades to upgrade Hickey and Jiath down the track. Looks good in the short term though.

Current team with limited funds 4.6k

Laird, Short, Crisp, Stewart, Daniel, Clark. (Kosi, Highmore.)

Macrae, Merrett, Dunkley, Titchell, Goulden, Powell, JordOn, Berry. (Scott, Sharp, Fyfe.)

Gawn, Grundy. (Flynn.)

Dusty, Tex, Ziebell, Atkins, Impey, Campbell. (Rowe, Treacy.)

Have saved trades so time to fix a few issues.
Initial thoughts are.
Campbell B/E 71 to Waterman B/E -77,
Daniel B/E 159 to Ridley B/E 88.

Thinking it's the right way to go, 1 down, 1 up. In the words of Bruce, Ridley is Special.

Thinking outside the square. (This is what I need to be talked out of.)
Daniel B/E 159 to Jiath B/E 7.
Campbell B/E 71 to Heppell B/E 7,

Thoughts are, it's a weird season, mid prices are performing well, cows aren't mooing, limited cash generation.
Am I better off with 2 players averaging solid 85 - 90s every week rather than the proven 1 up, 1 down theory.

Any other outside the square suggestions are welcomed.

Highmore playing would be a great help....
Gonna be hard for him to get a game this week given the Saints massive win and no new injuries a.f.a.i.k. At least we'll know Wednesday night with the Saints playing the first game of the round so you can assess your options from there I guess. Already looking forward to my Steele VC.

There's no universe in which the helmet survives in my side whether he gets his suspension overturned or not. Thankfully I have sufficient bank to get him to Dunks this week, who I see as a must have and has the Suns at Marvel up next, without the need to burn a second trade. Although I will probably still bring in Waterman at his basement price nonetheless for one of my many spud bench rookies.

I'd be getting rid of Jordon before Campbell

There's a lot of talk moving C Daniel on this week, whilst there are obvious reasons surely there is SOME merit of keeping him? A lot of the damage has been done already (points and $$$) so if trades are worth saving he might be worth keeping?

For the record i didn't watch the Dogs game but is there anything that substantiates that he's taking less kick outs, and/or an increase in team mates possessions out of defense? Whilst he hasn't set the world on fire IIRC he still scored ok in the first 3 games which would indicate they are looking to get the ball into his hands still?
He's put in two acceptable performances, one in an absolute thrashing against North which doesn't really count. He really seemed to struggle when put under pressure by West Coast and couldn't get near it at all on the weekend, potentially due to a tag. If that's the case his last two forward tags have resulted in Daniel becoming a liability and being moved, last season vs St Kilda because he turned the opposition's least dangerous forward into an important factor in a low scoring game, and on Saturday because he couldn't get near the ball.

I've got a few concerns over his role. I don't think he's being fed the ball as much now, in the first two round I noticed him being ignored when looking for a cheap touch a few times. He doesn't cope with pressure well as evidenced by his tendency to run around in circles and turn it over vs West Coast or just completely disappear as he did on the weekend. Others have also stepped up, Williams has gone to another level offensively and defensively while Dale and Duryea have also been very solid. All are bigger, faster, and stronger as well as being more direct and predictable with their kicking. The reality is that the Bulldogs might be a better side if they don't rely on Daniel to drive their ball movement in the back half.
My season now really hinges on whether Impey and Ziebell can fill a F5 and F6 position with the trades I've already used, otherwise I reckon it's a bridge too far.
How many have you used? I've only used 3 and it's going to cost me unless things go as badly cash gen wise as it looks like they might. I've hung onto Neale and failed to move the likes of Daniher, Clark and Bailey to other midpricers. Of course those 3 could still turn it around, Neale's already a lost cause even if he busts out a 160 this week.

I've used 5 but I'm not too unhappy with any of the trades I've done tbh. Screenshot_20210412-161056_SuperCoach.jpg

Yep you’ve nailed the quandary I’ve been tossing up. Used 4 and would have liked to have used a fifth for Impey. There has been a general consensus that good rookies will be scarce going forward due to no VFL last year but ( and please excuse my ignorance as I’ve never played AFL 😳) wouldn’t that mean they are just late to the party and will come through later in the season?

Thinking to take the punt on CJ and Impey and enjoy the next 9 rounds of the highs and lows.

FWD Dunkley Tex Zeiball Atkins Impey Warner ( waterman Rowe.)

All depends on Flynn getting a run this week.

Obviously not relevant this round , and if he doesn't improve on his 50 , maybe not relevant for the season , but has anyone seen a price projection for Rowan Marshall ?

Not sure Footywire is accurate or not.

Just thinking if I hold Heeney and Ziebell & Impey are good enough season long F5-6 who I need to target.

Already have Dunkley , Martin & Zorko.

Will turn Warner into a premium mid hopefully.

Might roll the dice on both.?

Thinking a D6 & F6 for under 400k could work.?

Foot issues are a huge concern.
