Saints were lauded for their trading last year but Hanners, Hill and Crouch makes it pin the tail on the donkey like most of the other clubs.
I think this is spot on. Really doesnt look that good now (not bad by any stretch, just not revolutionary as it was being talked about). Seeing a dejected Jake Carlisle after the game reinforces it too. Having said that, Steele and Higgins are absolute wins but they might have gone to the well a few too many times

Short's score is more a reflection on the game, the ball were barely in Richmonds back half and when it was the Saints forwards applied no pressure so Richmond could just kick it straight out again, no need to chip it around or switch across half back.
As for kick ins, there were only 6 for Richmond so not much there either.

Too highlight how much the play was in the Saints back line these are the DT scores from the backs tonight.
Tigers 37, 38, 40, 52, 59, 61, 71
Saints 54 (sub), 67, 79, 84, 104, 104
(used dt scores as they are just pure stats and possessions).

Dusty's 4th quarter almost as annoying to watch for Dusty owners as Helmet last week. Was just goofing around, kicking bananas (did he even kick a drop punt?) and handballs galore. Doesn't have the killer instinct unless the match is on the line, or finals. Will be another 90-100 point year.
Yep saw that. A couple of underground handballs as well, which admittedly do work for him most times but there definitely was a bit of cbf about him tonight.
He was putrid tonight

Couldn't hit the side of a barn
Didn’t seem to get punished like others would (there I said it) but as a non owner, with those numbers I’ll take a 90 for sure.

Not sure how Ben Long gets a game ahead of Highmore personally, with Webster injured also he has to come in next week you would think.

Saints were just insipid in the 2nd half, expect many changes next week - Brad Hill literally checked out tonight after being very good the week before v WCE. Certainly not a 800K a year player that’s for sure, way too many games he goes completely missing.

1/74 :cautious:
Did not expect the Tigers to completely annihilate St.Kilda that way. Short was on holiday after halftime.
Opponent had Steele & Dusty. I know I'm behind but it probably could've been way worse. Grundy getting roughly 110 tomorrow would put me back on track in the match-up! But against the superstar Nic Nat that's easier said than done!

p.s. When is Highmore coming back Mr.Ratten????

Just hope HIghmore isn't the sub next week

Don't know if it's been said but us Dusty non-owners got lucky tonight. 34 and a goal can translate to a very big SC score. We're lucky Dusty butchered it!

Edit: I see it has been said. Lots thinking it!
He didnt hit a target, had all the freedom to go for risky inside kicks and missed all of them.

Yeah its disgraceful. Hannebery was evidently cooked before they got him (60sc avg), the worst signing of all time. At least Gibbs/Beams were playing well before they came to their clubs, Hills a paycheck player and never been worth anywhere near 800, just has a good laugh after every game. Crouch was free and 600k, dont think in the same category as the other two and should be ok for them, but like too many of their players he cant make decisions under pressure and butchers it.

Lol at the Billy Brownless & Daisy betting preview thing on foxtel just now. Reckon your bet involving Mason Cox kicking so many goals tomorrow is crap odds given he is not playing.....

Spose thats what happens if you pre record earlier in the day....

Brought Short in after finally convincing myself he could be a top 6 chance and I get that garbage.

Really annoyed (n)
Did you watch the game?

The ball basically lived in the tigers front half after 1/2 time, bit hard for Short when he is playing half back ...

Can’t judge a player after 1 game especially in a thrashing like that when the ball wasn’t in his area for long periods.
