"Cats mulling whether he needs surgery on a syndesmosis tear in his right ankle.
The initial assessment in Melbourne had shown encouraging results but further investigation provided a different report, with damage to the syndesmosis joint - the joint between the fibula and tibia.

The review in Sydney also delivered a sobering report, leaving the eight-time All-Australian most likely facing either rest or surgery, the latter which could sideline him for up to two months. "

I just heard on the radio that Rory Laird may be in some doubt due shoulder injury???
He didn't surface on yesterday's official injury list so at least that's encouraging. But that doesn't mean he's a certainty to play either. We won't even know if he is in team sheets until Saturday night. (n)

Given we pretty much all have him he could be quite the Donut King on Sunday should he miss, especially if Highmore isn't named either.

As one of the 5% or so without him in the top 1000, for both SC and as a Hawks fan I wouldn't mind him missing. ;)

It would give you a rankings surge for sure given that you are in the T1K. Just like Lloyd he hasn't really punished non owners either so has been a reasonable negative PoD for you so far. Should misfortune strike you will be a major beneficiary just like all the top coaches who didn't have Ridley last weekend.

Wow....

Well if only there was a way to rest him during the game without affecting team balance (from someone who copped a JClark 🍩 )

Couldn't find any info on Jones being out anwhere else besides that topic and it's 4 hours ago it was posted. Might just be a rumour...

Of course Port play Sunday to make things worse if it isn't confirmed early.[/QUOTE)]

Ankle. There has been a bit of smoke since the game. I couldn't find any confirmation...but the thread says surgery tomorrow. Port aren't overly open about injuries. Time will tell...but i might need to rethink trades! My defence is looking very fragile.

I read on Port's Big Footy L Jones thread that Jones is out for 4 weeks. No confirmation.
Wouldn't normally believe these rumours, however, its 2021 and injuries running high...........many brought him in to solve a donut....based on 2021 luck he is injured.

If he doesn't play, going to be mighty tempting to trade Danger and Tex to Oliver and Walsh.

Yet could just as easily do Jordan Clarke to L.Jones if he playing.

Can we trust Tex calf? Winter coming, can he really maintain top 6? How long Danger out for? Is Jones playing?
