That’s true, although at some point a rookie correction (rather than a downgrade) might be needed, especially if other defenders keep missing.

Maybe Mansell? Slim pickings.
Mansell looks solid enough from what I've seen, but I'm fairly sure he'd be a trade I'd end up regretting because he's unlikely to stay in the side long enough to make much cash. No idea what I'll do if one of Clark or Highmore can't get back in.

Thanks - that’s good colour. Tough to land a spot in that side.

I am considering just copping a donut, given Ridley should presumably be back next week.

Not sure if Jones will automatically get his spot back , have a number of options in defence to bring in.

Powell-Pepper will be close to returning , no idea on Rockliff and what he has done wrong (maybe can't play all 3 of him , Drew & Wines together)

Butters & Duursma due back.

Very competitive side to get into , once in their suspect incumbents will be keen to stay.

While the Saints hope Clark will be fit to face the Power, Darragh Joyce appears a selection contender after training with the preferred 'A' team in his absence in the 18-versus-18 match simulation.

No mention of Highmore. Fingers and toes crossed.
Joyce has been an emg for them the last couple of weeks, Highmore hasn't, looks like he might be ahead of him in the pecking order at Moorabbin right now.
