Score: 2230 with Donut
Weekly: 16,544
Overall: 4,744 ( fell back 125 spots)
Trades made: J.Clark to Mansell and Phillips to Oliver
Heroes: Stewart, Koschitzke, Bontempelli, Merrett, Laird, Gawn (Capt.), Dunkley , Ziebell , Walker , Impey , Oliver, Mills and Doc
Villains: Jkelly, Dusty, Short ,
Comments: Once again didn't want to compromise my trade target so took a donut in fwd line with Degeoy, Buddy and Waterman all missing.
Team was tracking nicely but will now need to play around with Dunkley replacments.
Only dropped back a little in ranks and lost league matches which i would have still lost both important ones had i traded out of donut anyway.

Overall: 3250 (up from 3485)
Team value: $11.743m
Trades made: Berry > Mansell and McNeill to McCreery
Points lost: Nil
Heroes: Gawn (C), Grundy, Macrae, Walsh, Oliver, Zerrett, Powell, Laird, Stewart, Ziebell, Dunkley, Jiath, Impey
Villains: Dusty, Short
Comments: Happy with the coaches performance again this week. Underpinned by Gawn (C), and benching Rowe in preference to Bergman on field. Brought in Mansell to cover for Ridley on the bench and downgraded McNeill to raise small amount of cash for the next upgrade. Apart from that, the team performed well without too much interference from the coach.
Both Dusty & Short let the team down, but considering that contributed to a Demon victory on Sat night, this is a sacrifice I am willing to accept.
Only a minor rise in ranking, however an important victory in the PL made this a successful round for the team
Intended trades: Unfortunately the injury to Dunkley requires a corrective trade, however I think it will allow be to bring in a slightly cheaper top tier (or close) Mid premium as well as another 2nd tier Fwd player to take a rookie off field. Hopefully with enough cash left over to move another rookie off field next week as well. There are few players I'm considering for this trade combo (some are ultra POD) and I will assess the options over the next few days.

Trades made: L. Jones to Mansell
Heroes: Stewart, , Bontempelli, , Laird, Gawn (Capt.), Dunkley , Ziebell , Walker , Impey , , Fyfe , Lloyd , Steele , Tex
Villains: Dusty, Guelen , Rowe , Clark , Chapman , Campbell ,
Comments: Let myself and my team down by stuffing up the Clark and Campbell trades , a few injuries now
Team was on the right track i thought but will now need to play around with Dunkley's replacment
Dropped back a little in ranks (407) but still managed to win 6/6 league matches which was really surprising to me
Soldier on , well done to those that got some high scores this week .

Trades made: Kosi to Maynard 🙄
Heroes: Lloyd, Aliir, Macrae, Fyfe Captain, Oliver, Merrett, Neale, Walsh, Gawn, Grundy, Ziebell.
Villains: Maynard and Daniel.
Rookie Villains: Chapman. Gulden, Rowe and Bergman all onfield

Comments: Missed most of the carnage, happy the way Neale battled on. Lost looping points due to silly mistakes. Could have got Scott's 66 instead of Rowes 27 if I subbed Campbell from forwards to mids with Brockman, also may have avoided Guldens score with Berry, but got Jordan who scored well. Thought I was being smart trading Kosi to Maynard, cost me 44, Trying to preserve trades, as can be seen, people getting burnt left, right and centre. A big shout out to Ziebell whose played like an uber premo. Waiting on Fyfe to kick straight and give me 170, he's kicked like 9 behinds or so in the last 2 games. Congrats to everyone continuing their charge to the top. I won 8/10 leagues with 2 losses to @IDIG well played.
Intended Trades: Not sure, Neale to ? I rather like the look of Frederick from Port, outstanding debut and is a genuine gun and team player, much better than his brother. Will see if he's selected.

Trades made: Campbell to Stewart, Jones to Mansell
Points lost: D 0, M 0, R 0, F 0, C 6, = Total 6. Has to be some record... easy to achieve with no bench on any line besides R3. However having no rookie roulette to play with was actually one of the good things this week lol, no points left on the bench.
Heroes: Gawn 147 x 2, Ziebell 169, Grundy 153, Macrae 140, Mills 136, Dunkley 132, Laird 111, Stewart 109 & Lloyd 106.
Villains: Cripps 64, Dusty 39, Mansell 39, Gulden, 38, Chapman 36 & Rowe 27
Comments:
Only 6 rounds in and I don't have a bench besides the ruckline. Not looking great. Knew I'd be having a bit of a down week fielding 8 rookies. Kosi getting a tonne hurts. Seeing Jiath & Impey also doing well while Mitchell fails hurts twice as much as a hawks supporter. I have been slowly declining since round 4 so time for something to change with some big trades this week.

DEF: 7/10
Great to have all 4 of my premos getting 100s. Both Lloyd & Laird have been consistent without going too big so far. A few weeks ago I had a choice between Mills or Short. The result so far has been Mills 416 Vs Short 348. Mills a huge win this week being my POD against the masses who have Short. Also had the choice of getting Short again this week but went for Stewart due to his bye round. Another small win there so far. Chappy poor score and Mansell looks to be a very terrible trade in... fingers crossed he plays still.

MID: 5/10
Macrae & Dunkley the only tonnes. Sad to be trading Dunkley away. Mitchell a 94 average since traded in has been such a disappointment along with Cripps. Both being my M2 & M3s are the cause of my team being very low scoring. Will need to boost my midfield up this week. Powell & Jordon have been great onfield rookies. Gulden with his first poor score can be forgiven. Scott has become a safe 60s scoring which has been very helpful.

RUC: 11/10
The Grawndy ruck combo does it once again. Forever VC/C combo. Rounds 1 seems like a distant memory. Flynn still has a lot of mooing left to do.

FWD: 5/10
Will probably need to start watching more North games to witness the Ziegull in action. Almost a legitimate VC/C combo. Tex definitely has to be a genuine keeper now due to all these injuries. Daniher if only he could kick straight could be scoring 120s, not quite a keeper like Tex but handy to hold until his bye at the very least. Warner a lot better than last week. The Rowe rollercoaster continues and with all the potential donuts I'm facing... may be forced to field him yet again which is a very scary prospect.

Intended trades: I am almost certain I will be going in this round with 0 bench again unless Highmore/Berry/Waterman get recalls. OUT Dunkley & a dead rookie to 2 premos!

Trades made: JClark/Campbell to Oliver/Mansell
Heroes: Laird, Gawn, Grundy, Doch, Macrae, Heppell, Ziebell, Impey’s second half, Dunkley pre-injury
Villains: Dusty, Cripps, Short, Gulden, Rowe, Mansell (but really it’s Ridley’s concussion/Hipwood’s elbow)
Planned Trades: Dunkley/Gulden to Sidey/Zorko
Comments: Another disappointing week for me (but will continue to post the review). Have won 1 league game out 20 in the past two weeks (against a former SC overall winner, who had a bigger stinker than me). Disappointed to have traded out Jordon/Kosi right before their good runs and not be a Powell owner. Will need to get creative to keep my team competitive. Planning to be aggressive and use Dunkley’s cash to keep the upgrade cadences going. The small wins for me (to not completely have me putting up the white flag) have been grabbing Impey over Danger two rounds back and Oliver over Neale last round. Even better move was doing Campbell over Berry so I can afford Zorko this round (over a downgrade). Trying to focus on the positives in the hope for some success in future rounds.....

Trades made: Campbell & McNeil to Mitch Duncan & Mansell
Heroes: Duncan (149) !?! Macrae 140, Dunkley 132, Gawn 147, Ziebell 169, Stewart 109, Impey 105
Villains: Dusty 39, Gulden 38, Martin 39, Chapman 36, not having Grundy

Comments: A highlight of trading in a super POD Duncan (149) which won me a few leagues, when not being able to afford Walsh (2k short lol). Remainder was a really crap round with so many garbage scores. Grundy seems to be the difference between me & the top 200. One of the 13% (of the Top 1000) of coaches without Grundy. Mass regret trading Kosi and Jordan early (instead of Brockman) but so be the power of hindsight. Some torrid rookie scores isn’t just cutting it especially when a lot of the top tier teams have Jordon/Kosi still. Only sideways Danger/Neale/Phillips (for Oliver/Tex/Lloyd) 1 in the each of the 1st 3 rounds. But will need to monitor trades. If you asked me whether I’d take being top 650 with my current team (and without Grundy) after R6, I’d probably take it (and I’m sure a lot of you would too)

Intended trades: Dunkley out this week - a definite. Dusty is a hold. Considering
Dunkley & Gulden to FMacrae/Fredrick (early)& Walsh/Boak
OR Grundy & Treacy (means 1 of Jones/Treacy/Waterman on field). Just short of Hunter & Dunkley to Fred/Macrae & Grundy (would be preferred trade)

A few big weeks coming up.. not sure how much longer I can go without Grundy but if Flynn is playing he is a much better proposition on field than Waterman/Jones/Treacy, just gotta cop the Grundy scores for the time being, 485 > 510 > 644, hopefully can steady and make up some lost ground

A big congratulations on those that have held steadfast and made up a massive amount of rankings the last few weeks. Patience is the key and commendations to you all! @Crowls @BomberSam looking at you two!

Heroes: Ziebell, Grundy, Gawn, Macrae, Merrett, Oliver, Laird, Stewart
Villains: Duggan, Short, Cripps, and the six on field rookies who totalled only 251 points between them.
Comments: 10/10 league losses summed up my week. Neale rewarded me for holding him through his lean times as well as Danger rewarded me for holding him! Looks like another week of correction, so getting to a final team seems to be a mile off at this stage. Still, I can choose to dwell on the bad or focus on finding some value or hidden gems .. challenge accepted!
Intended Trades: Neale and a rookie to two of Mills, Zorko or Brayshaw

Trades made: Clark/Campbell > FinMac/ Stewart
Heroes: Ziebell, Gawn (c), Macrae, Merrett, Laird, Stewart, Fyfe, Impey, Kozi, Powell
Villains: Jelly, Short, rookies, but they are rookies at the end of the day
Comments: Another incremental increase in rankings which I am happy with. Not really making up any serious ground on the leaders and it will be made even more difficult this week as I have to trade both Dunkley and Neale :( Reckon I will bite the bullet and bring in Grundy and then look to diversify in my trading from there.
Intended Trades: Dunkley/Neale > Grundy and one of Oliver or Zorko (I think)

Comments: Well, I climbed a little, happy with that. More happy that the Hawks won!!!! :D

Crunch time coming where my irresponsible spending of trades bites me. Dunks to... becomes a critical decision this week.

I like those trades. Grundy should do well this week as a bonus.

Villains: None really, maybe Chapman and Gulden slightly disappointing given Jordon on the pine for the E on Scott.

Comments: Now well inside the top 1,000 and gunning for top 200 this week.

I will be trading Dunkley down to Robertson who should get more CBA's with Neale out, and looks capable of holding an onfield spot in the fwd line. Gulden will get flicked for Petracca, who comes in at a $30k discount to his starting price and a great run of games coming up. Also suits my premo bye setup better than Duncan. Puts a mid rookie off field at the expense of a fwd one

Trades Made: Out - BWilliams (inj.), TPhillips, In - Neale 😢, Mansell 🙄
Heroes: Macrae, Ziebell, Gawn, Impey - Not many
Villains: HClark, Neale, Chapman, Mansell, Rowe, JClark, Dusty and rookie scores
Comments: What can I say? Getting crucified over the last two weeks on the injury front
BWilliams, New recruit Hickey last week
Dunkley, Dusty and new recruit Neale this week
Was forced to bring in Mansell in attempt to avoid donut but even that failed.
Not only do I have to now trade out Neale and Dunkley, I also have lots of non playing rookies in Waterman, AFyfe, Highmore, Berry, Campbell (?), Brockman.
I still have Hickey on bench and had planned to bring in Grundy this week. Although with all the carnage I may struggle to do that.
Throw in the possibility of more of my rookies being dropped or rested this week in Chapman, Gulden etc. and I could be facing 3/4 donuts this week even after making two trades.
Intended Trades:
Really want Grundy this week against a ruckless Gold Coast. He is guaranteed to go big. Although with Dunkley, Dusty and Neale all out and only two performing premos in backline atm I may have to watch everyone else take Grundys massive score.
Neale to ?, Dunkley to ?
Need my rookies and JClark to play so I can try and field something competitive this week and avoid donuts but cannot see it happening.
Like my footy team, I need to rebuild again 😢🤪

It was a fantastic comeback win in quite a shoot-out there. Definitely the game I enjoyed watching the most on the weekend as a neutral observer. Although having Kosi on my field I guess I wasn't really a neutral observer. Exciting stuff! :p

Trades made: Danger:sick:/Hickey:sick: > Neale  + McCreey
Heroes: Ziebell, Mills:love: (8.4%), Bont, Macrae (C), Merrett, Laird, Cumming:love:(4.4%), Kozi, Powell
Villains: Jelly, well that's really Leon C the C; injuries to Dunks, Neale, Martin.
Intended Trades: Dunks+Gulden to Oliver and Petracca. Week after, Neale to whoever I want to break next (Dusty, Hickey, Neale on incoming so far).
Comments: Went backwards by 62 despite a top 8% rank, I think it really shows the impact of Dusty's concussion.

Sitting Neale on bench this week is going to sting, given low ownership at pointy end. On the positives, my cash gen continues to tick along ($340k ITB over team val above). Rookies to fill in for Neale, Dusty this week, so tough week incoming, hence spending up for Oliver & Petracca, rather than the more value picks available, which I'd normally snaffle up. There are many which is why the premo injuries are just painful.

The question for the week is when does Ziebell get a VC/C gig???? Two very good Captain scores of late!

Second best game of the year for me, only behind the Hawks/Bombers Rd 1 match. :)

That's an insane score! Please post in the round review thread - I look forward to reading about it.
As requested.

Score: 2521
Weekly: 5th
Overall: 292nd (up 1,903)

Heroes: Ziebell, Grundy, Gawn, Macrae (C), Mills, Dunkley, Walsh, Fyfe all 125+. 8 other tons.
Villains: Gulden

Trades: Campbell to McCreery. Jordon to Mills via Sharp. I chose the wrong calf to sacrifice there. After culling Daniher the week before, I have lost so much cash gen through poor trade decisions.

Comments: I never dreamed of being top 5 in a round of SuperCoach. I realised on Saturday night that I was genuinely in with a shot at the weekly if everything was to go well on the Sunday (rare). I had a great Sunday (following two absolutely sterling Sundays the two weeks prior) but it just wasn't quite enough.

Trading terribly and losing a lot of cash gen, but also not willing to target the ultra value options as I'm still in the mindset of targeting the very best on each line while maintaining upgrade cadence. Timing is everything. I noticed I can do Dunkley and Gulden to Heeney and Houston but both their BEs are around 150 so if I can possibly wait a week, I might save 40k which could be the difference between Crisp and Lloyd (for example). It's all very interesting. I have never been ranked as highly as 292, even in my top 1000 years (2015, 2018). Still so early in the season too. Burning trades, but the prime focus is on getting the most quality whilst also maintaining upgrade cadence. I am already considering bye structure when making trades also. If you're not yet, I highly recommend you start. I just have a note on my phone with my team for rounds 12, 13 and 14 so I can see the landscape.

Villains: Jelly69) Short(61), Gulden(38), Chapman(36), Campbell(35).
Comments: An average round. Heavy blows losing both Neale and Dunkley to LTIs. The Neale selection has proved to be costly and more ways than one. Battled to a 96 with a bad ankle so I’m grateful for that. Dunks has been awesome and is a massive loss as my F1 anchor. Ziebell now takes that spot (who’d have thought). Forwards are up to **** now with lots of subpar rookies floating like turds. Going to replace those two with some heavy hitters (Petracca/Walsh) and then focus on value picks up forward. Heeney Zorko types. Ridley will be a welcome return in defense.

Villains: Dusty, Jelly, me for being burned for the 5th round of no walker/CJ/Impey and another week of them falling back to earth not happening.
Comments: So many rounds of not having the mid price superstars (sans Ziebell) and this is the round where the bottom fell out. Starting without Grundy is also now a negative. So so disappointing.
Intended trades: Need too trade Dunkley, would ideally get Grundy and Freoshaw but can only get there with Warner. Might trade Dusty to facilitate.

Trades made: Campell to Mansell, Berry to Neale, my first upgrade for the year, that worked out well :poop:
Heroes: Macrae, Gawn, Grundy, Ziebell, Kosi, Powell
Villains: Short, TMitch, Leon Cameron, Josh Kelly, Gulden, Chapman, Dusty and NEALE.
Comments: had avoided all the major carnage so far this year so was due to cop one soon.
Trading in Neale instead of Oliver has cost me an extra trade.
Dusty getting 30 hurts, at least when Dunkley died his owner's got a parting 130.
Now planning to get rookies off field in the feds and backs, my midfield is big ordinary but the rookies are decent most weeks. Hopefully setting myself up for 2 weeks of 1up 1down following this round.
Intended trades: Neale > Sidebottom & Chapman > FMacrae, leaves me with 238k which should be plenty to allow me to bring in Marshall and Ridley over the next 2 weeks.
