Here's the numbers for them Tiga............................just in case you didn't know them............

Zorko.........BE 83 and proj. + $3K

Tex...............BE 102 and proj. + $7K

Grundy.......BE 96 and proj. + $17K

And, Grundy up against GCS's novice ruc's this week..............................solid VC option AND could score anything this upcoming round !!

Good numbers all of those.......................choose good

AG
I already have Zorko in the mids, so i was thinking of bringing him down to the Fwds so that i'm not stuck with just 4 200k fwds who are doing well.

Thinking Brayshaw and Duncan at the moment.

Neale -> Oliver or Petracca?

Need some advice
I have Oliver and am getting Trac this week. That is the order I would probably prioritise them if you have neither, but honestly you cant go wrong with either as they should average almost identically from here.

Yep I think so at this point, Clark to Robertson makes me $60k?

I reckon we've missed the boat on him being $220k already, I could be wrong! but I'm getting in an upgrade whilst I can.
Yeah my main concern is carrying too much $.

I've been carrying $300k+ each week for awhile now, and getting Robertson will force me to not utilize $550k in the bank. I think for me team selection is key. If both Jarrod Berry and Rhys Mathieson are named I don't think Robertson is nearly as attractive.

That's fair, but with the carnage this year surely they must be considered as potential keepers and last in the upgrade queue.
My comments were tongue in cheek really. Just giving Connoisseur bit of a wind-up. :giggle:

With all the injury carnage we've suffered already fixing struggling premiums is a luxury most coaches can't afford right now.

I've played what feels very cookie cutter up until now but I'm seriously considering a good old fashioned punt this weekend.

With Dunkley and a (almost certainly Swans) rookie out I have a very large field available to me to try and pluck a POD from. If we assume I use Gulden then I have 1.028m to spend. Had a look through the top averages and there's lots to like...

Cookie cutter options: T Mitchell, Lloyd, Petracca, Walsh, Sidebottom (already have J Macrae, Oliver, Merrett)
Diving a little deeper: Heppell, Parish, Guthrie, Duncan, McCluggage, Hind
Proper PODs: Keays, Liberatore, Dale, Greene???

Dunkley being a forced out just opens up so many options that this round feels super pivotal. Mostly though this is just my Ben Keays appreciation post since I really want to pick him but will probably chicken out of it.
Don't forget Lyon. I think under 2% ownership.

To anyone who doesn't have Impey...are you considering bringing him in? I feel as if I've missed that boat weeks ago but may need to swallow my pride and make that trade...

Was looking at this myself and concluded that I prefer Zorko for a little bit more. Impey has no history at this level (doesn't mean he can't maintain it of course) but to me there is a definite risk he could tail off.

Pretty sound thinking Bones. I would also be targeting Zorko ahead of most in the fwd line.

I have Impey, and am happy with him, but if you are trading now, guys who are cheaper than their starting price are vastly better value IMO. For your last premo trade on each line price doesn't matter, but right now it's very important to try and gain on the rest of the pack in use of $$$.

Just grab him Rumbler. I started him and know you asked for non owner opinions. But I have watched a number of Hawks games this season and he's always about the place. Doesn't always get the ball but he's usually involved in the play somehow. I'm struggling to remember where he's disappeared for an entire quarter as many players do from time to time. So his score is always ticking over.

Yes he's already made $220K but try to ignore that if you can. He's still value in the low 400Ks imho.

I do like Zorko too so either are good options for mine.

Zorko is a good option too Bones so got no issue with coaches targeting him instead.

If I was grabbing a FWD permo this week that's probably the way I'd be going myself but I'm prioritising a couple of must have MID guns I'm missing. Decent chance I bring Zorko in next week though.

Some good points. As I have Neale & Dunkley to trade out, I was pretty adamant on grabbing Zorko anyways. The 2nd player is what is causing me headaches. Tossing up between Walsh, Bont, Impey, Bolton & Hind. May just roll the dice with Impey. I'll have 300k or so in the bank to upgrade a rookie to Bont/Walsh/Steele next week.

Tryna figure out which players represents the most "value" this week!

Looking at 2 options.

Neale/Dunkley to Steele or Walsh and Zorko or Sidey or

Dunkley/Chapman to Zorko/Sidey and Mills.

The second option strengthens the b/line to play 2 rookies from Kosi, H’more and Mansell and playing 3 of Powell, Gulden, Jordan and Scott in the mids which appear to be better options. Should open a wealth of options to trade Neale to whatever may appear, be that 1 or 2 upgrades in Rd. 8.

Just trying to justify this to myself really. Cheers.

I had a good think about Impey, Sidebottom and Zorko to replace Dunkley - decided against Sidebottom at the moment as he's only had the one game in the mids and I'd like to see if that continues, and just thought there was more risk than I need to take with Impey given the small price difference to Zorko.
It was a bit of a strategy decision too - I had been tossing up whether to go the 'value' route given the poor outlook for cash gen or stay the course and go for quality. I was also looking at Brayshaw vs Oliver for Gulden - Oliver cleans out most of my bank so will delay future upgrades but decided to go with him anyway. Time will tell what the correct strategy is.

Second option for mine - three def rookies on field is asking for trouble I think. Steele could be $30k+ cheaper by then too. Prefer Zorko to Sidey this round (but like both) and would prefer Stewart to Mills (Mills' role doesn't seem that set at the moment)

Steele has a hell of alot of games at Marvel pre bye where hes averaged 128 the last couple years, only a matter of time before he scores a 160 IMHO.
