Kelly is a FWD. Darcy is an All Australian DEF.
Keane to fill in Issac role, and Isaac into the midfield.
Keane is 194 cm, can't really fill in for Quaynor and defend the smaller and speedier types.

Bringing him either allows Moore to continue his forward experiment, or pushes Madgen elsewhere (wing), with the latter being one of the stupidest coaching decisions I've ever heard even by Buckley's standards.

Forward Experiment?.....means Nathan is still is guessing and his decisions are based on what the media is writing.

The worst midfield in the comp and horrible DE when it does eventually find its way I50.

But after the trade period last year, you just new this year was going to be a train wreck.

Who had the role of marking Tippa last week.?

I'm still torn on who to bring in up forward this week out of Atu, Farrar and Dev.

Whoever I pick will probably stay in the team through the byes and be needed to contribute some on field points, so I'm leaning Dev as he has shown at least some capacity to get bigger scores (twice over 80 in 3 games).

Atu and Farrar both seem like solid ~65 guys longer term (though Farrar did get that 80 ) so I think all are ok picks, I'm just trying to weigh up the price premium of Dev.

Higher risk, higher reward?

I eliminated Dev, too expensive, now between Atu and Farrar.
I am finding it difficult to split Atu and Farrar, as there is not much that separates them, price, roles, ages, but read somewhere in this forum that Atu is just filling in for an injured player??? (I can't seem to find that reference, hmmm).
If Farrar has a better job security, then I am picking him, but if Atu's JS is just as good, and a bit cheaper, then I'm leaning to him.

Anyone have any ideas on Finlay Macrae's JS? I know he can be a good rookie if used correctly.
I was just thinking about this. We don't like that he's been played out of position. Are they holding him back because he's not ready? Could he build into the role and end up a good cash cow? He has had some CBA's. I'm not a fan of Atu, Farrar and Robertson. They just seem like expensive speculative picks. For me it's Macrae or Ben Brown but I would prefer to wait two weeks for Brown.

In the context that you will be fielding regularly and holding through the byes I reckon there is a lot of merit in Robertson with his DPP.

For mine Farrar has the best JS because he's played the best of the 3 the last two weeks, the biggest concern I have with Farrar is him copping shutdown roles like the did on the weekend which would make that 60 type score on his better end of the range. Not sure how the GC B&F voting works but I'd expect that Farrar got a lot of votes for his game, he toweled Heeney.

Hardest part with Atu is not knowing for sure he's named this week when trading Dunkley and that probably doubles into his biggest risk that the JS isn't great. That said there is going to be a lot of supply and Ziebell, the main guy, does look for short passes.

Honestly, they feel like the 3 best rookies we've had so far as downgrade targets but at the end of the day they're still rookies who can get dropped off one bad game so that can change in a week.

There's absolutely still merit to the extra 50-100k available for Macrae and I can buy situations where he's the best option. The issue on him is he had one decent quarter in his first game and did nothing in the 2nd game, not always an indicator of future performance but if he's playing this week it sure feels like he's playing for his spot which is pretty common for rookies to be fair but he seems a lot closer to being dropped right now than the others who are all coming off good to excellent (Farrar) games while Macrae was, at best, not awful. Someone else posted it but if Macrae was named McNeil would we be talking about him, I mean they scored the same on their first 2 games and no one was planning on trading in McNeil!

Not to mention that F Macrae is a dual position player and handy with all the trades going on.

Simply, F Macrae's job security is only as good as his performance on field, hmmm.
