Starting to think my team is cursed after Dunkley  on that note if anyone has a half decent FWD available hit me up!
Nick Haynes has decided to join the rest of his defensive teammates in the injury ward at The Giants.

Lonely times for Sholly, Luke Ryan and Kosi back there at the moment. Getting ridiculous.

ROUND SHEET ENHANCEMENTS

SCS Ultimate League are proud to announce a few enhancements to the Round sheet.

Firstly, a "captain played" symbol (+) has been added to players playing/played count in the Match Centre, off setting the need to visit team pages to check this has occurred.

Last, but not least, SCSUL now has their own injury list. The full* list of players and teams can be found in the "Injury List" tab, whilst each individual team has their's listed beneath the selected team with ins & outs, thus making it far easier to keep tabs on your, and your opposition, available players. This is an automated feed direct from the AFL website. The injury list is updated Tuesday throughout the day as teams update their information.

Commissioner Ken Lockhart, when asked for comment said, "We are always looking for ways to enhance the experience here at SCSUL, and if we can make it easier for coaches in the process that's an added bonus. Our IT department loves the challenge."

* It should be noted some players might not show up on the list due to naming differences between Footywire scoring names and the AFL website. Hyphenated names being once such example.

Terrific work on this, thank you! I think I stumbled across a WIP version yesterday ... I searched for a player’s name in the Google Sheet and I landed somewhere quite unexpected!

Flagging a rule addition for after season discussion, which would mirror the AFL competition.

RULE 1
Teams would be allowed to designated players to an injury list which would rule them out of the season for SCSUL. Players would need to be out for the season or the vast majority of the season when designated. For example, James Sicily, Wayne Milera and Connor Budarick.

Players placed on the injured list would then be allowed to replaced during the draft process.

The players salary would still count under the cap, so teams will need the cap space to be able to draft a player.

The drafted players would only be allowed to be drafted for a period of one year. Free agents under the free agent conditions and rookies under the rookie conditions. Rookies would therefore become eligible for a 2nd Contract.

If a player is placed on the injured list prior to the Preseason Signing and Draft Period commencing the list space is eligible to be filled during this period. However, teams would not be required to replace the player at this time.

To mirror the AFL competition a Mid Season Draft would be implemented where injury list players could be replaced via draft at this time. The draft order would be reverse ladder position at this time. Only teams with sufficient contract and player space (less than 44) would eligible at this time.

RULE 2
If a Mid Season Draft is enacted, teams would be allowed to keep open a list place(s) to be able to be filled in the Mid Season Draft.

Teams must allow sufficient salary and contract cap space (or a designated price set by SCSUL) and must draft a player(s) to complete the 44 player roster requirements.

Players drafted during this period would be drafted under the same conditions as the Preseason Signing and Draft Period. OR same conditions with a maximum contract length of 2 years.

Edit: Discussion could include whether you are allowed to trade into a better salary cap position and use that salary or only be eligible to use the salary cap space available at the conclusion of the Preseason Signing and Draft Period. For example, trade from $140,000 cap space to $600,00. Therefore, allowing a team to go from picking a rookie to a premium such as David Mundy OR only allow the original $140,000 to pick up Nathan Krueger.

Just a heads up that I’m having some trouble updating details on my page. Could be internet where I am. Key details as follows:

- Lloyd, Hep and Menegola traded
- DBJ traded in and on field
- Robertson comes in and on field
- Drew on field from bench

I think the above has already been executed, but not fully explained in the sheet (ins/outs/notes). The below has not to date, but I’ll try to add it:

- Young mid on to mid bench as cover - let’s say Phillips barring another update
- C Ziebell
- VC ROB
- Boak off
- RCD in and on to cover Boak

I’ll try to make the additional changes again now, and again later on if that doesn’t work.

I did do something a little different this week in making the document, which saved me 10-15 minutes, by no longer having to permission every person and permission individual pages. Given the time saving, this will continue.

If I post a Round Preview and/or injury list, you can assume that the document has been shared.

@KLo30 loving the new feature, you read my mind!
Fantastic addition!
Projected score is 2/3 of Season Average and 1/3 Last 3 Round Average. Obviously, this has flaws and means Ryder and Brown types get a zero. We will continue to refine this with readily available statistics*.

However, it is a rolling projected score, so once a player plays his actual score replaces his projected score. Tim's backline donuts will need a solution. Maybe 0 = 0.01 once the team has played.

* Currently, I've made a Google Sheet which collates the round scores of all players, which I will update every week, feeding from each of our round team sheets. This feeds back into the Round sheet, which you can see in the "Projected Score" tab

Excellent stuff. Maybe a relatively simple solution if the season/3 round average = 0 could be to revert to price/MN?

Again it’s not perfect, but you wouldn’t get any zeroes, and it’s probably pretty easy to implement based on existing info in the sheet.

Will probably work better for anyone who hasn’t been on the same contract for a long period (given a recently determined price would presumably be fairly representative of market). Would give some big numbers for those with scarcity value (eg Lloyd or Danger) as well.

A great solution to this would be for blokes to stop going down injured...:rolleyes:
