Ideally we would all hold Gulden and Warner for extra playing numbers through the byes. I just don't see how that is possible given the lack of cash gen across the board at the moment. We are going to need to cash in the big earners asap to maintain upgrade cadence. Still hoping to hold Warner as a decent onfield option until his R14 bye, but I think I'll be cutting Gulden unfortunately. He has been nothing special since his miraculous start to the season.

Yes you can just see Gulden getting a second wind and rewarding the patient coaches but he's going this round to help me get Oliver. Not a bad exchange but it still leaves me with a bad M8. Its only Rd 7 - Rd 14 seems an eternity away.

Like others, I'm a little undecided on trades this week.

Dunkley the only real issue coupled with too many non-playing benchies and one or two poor scores on the ground.

Common sense says replace Dunkley like for like but the problem many are grappling with is there are no obvious forward premos screaming "pick me, pick me". Most are tossing up between Zorko and Sidey and you'd have to think one or both of them are possible top 6 FWDs come seasons end but there are also a lot of question marks.

The other option is to trade to a mid (eg Walsh) but for me it then leaves my forward line exposed with no genuine premos (putting aside Ziebell and Imp who have stepped up but could fall away at some point).

I'm starting to lean towards taking two cheapies for Dunkley and Berry/Dow. I like Farrar as an option (over Atu). He appears to have a decent role and is 25. My only query is who he came in for and whether he's at risk making way for that player. He and Corbett came in for Ballard and Lemmens (both injured at the time). Ballard and Lemmens then came back in for Harbrow and McPherson the following week. It feels like a bit of a restructure so it's difficult to say which playing he's keeping out.

I'm also strongly considering getting Jordon who is the one rookie I've missed but is still value at $241k and a BE of -16. He's played every game and other than the one blip, has been solid. He's in the same bracket at Robertson but I prefer Jordon's JS. Robertson probably has the slightly better upside for scoring.

My other consideration (as much as it pains me) is bring Daniher back in. As commented during the week, with McStay now back Joe is being used much more as a ruck and has clearly added to his scoring over the past two weeks in that role. Season average of 71 but the last two rounds he's averaged 100. Current BE of -4 he is a genuine value option as a stepping stone or possibly a long term semi-keeper

Taking that approach gives me a decent war chest for the following weeks and deals with the the poorly performing on-field rookies.
Had to read this twice :D I wonder how many coaches across the 160k odd are thinking of trading in JordOn and Daniher. Great stuff Wheedus.

OK so with Flynn dropped I def need Gawn via Dunkley.

Need to find 10k to make it happen, how do we feel about cashing out Flynn to Deven?

Other options are Gulden to Dev or Campbell to Farrar. Would def feel most comfortable with Deven on field.

I'd try to keep Flynn for a bit longer if you can. Seems like they're gonna keep switching him and Mummy. But with Flynn's scoring potential, even only playing every second game he'll get up to 350k soon enough. Whereas Gulden and Campbell seem to have hit their peaks. I like the look of both Robertson and Farrar, despite their prices, so take your pick I reckon.

I'm gonna do Dunkley to Oliver and Gulden to Robertson.

Sidebottom had 29 cba's, 30 disp and 12 tackles. Has Suns and North next 2. I'm surprised he isn't more popular this week reading this thread.

Not that I'm complaining, hopefully a POD.
The Suns actually have a good midfield, but that aside the issue with Sidebottom to me isn't really his disposal count, because it seems he has a good role and has a great ruckman palming the ball to him, its the fact he isn't really disposing the ball that well this season. He's a bit like Titch, a lot of sideways kicking etc. I guess in the forward line though he would count as somewhat of a premium.

Suns don't give up points like they used to. Currently ranked 6th behind Bulldogs, Power, Demons, Cats and Swans.

Age / potential for injury / attitude are the main factors. On the third one, I couldn't fault him against the Bombers. As I've said earlier, he played like a man possessed. Just not sure how long that lasts.

88% TOG for a ceiling of 120 ish. Played a lot of half forward early in the season. De Goey already back, Poulter could take some midfield minutes.

Adams, Greenwood (1 week away), Sier are all major threats that could decrease his CBA attendance.

That being said, it's Oliver vs Sidebottom for me as the 2nd trade in. Currently leaning towards Oliver, so evidently i can see the merit for Sidey

Too much to unpack in Saturday teams to deal with now. Dunkley to Ben Brown and I'll make the second move tomorrow.
