Glad I ditched the McLaren I had this round. He should get a few overtaking points though for anyone with him, but not much chance of a good result from 16th.
With the overtaking points and the structure of starting grid points, an upper midfield car starting down the back is not a disaster. As Perez showed in the first race, it can actually be an advantage if you can make it back through the field.

Specifically: the gap between grid places is 1 every two places up to 9th, and 4 points per place up to 4th from there. So if he can get back to a position he'd expect to get to anyway (around 6th, let's say) he actually gets more points by starting further back.

I nearly went with an Alpine this round but ended up just sticking (mostly) with the best(?) options with low breakevens.

One trade Perez to Leclerc

Max(c) Leclerc Norris Yuki
Redbull x2 Ferrari x2
On exactly the same team myself. One Mclaren out, one Ferrari in.
Exact same team for me too... Looks the optimal line-up

1 trade... McLaren to Ferrari for me.

Yeap same setup for me also. Need to get as many of the low BE's early as possible, as we don't get new rookie drivers throughout the season to generate cash in F1.

The Dan Ric one will be interesting. Been a close field all weekend. Might not be a given that he moves up too far.

No, with Dan struggling to adapt to the new car, He could be in for a long race as the back unfortunately.

In a general sense it's great to see the field close right up. Alpine and Aston look like they've come to the party, Russell nearly made Q3... Anyone could be stuck starting at the back this year (well, 18th ahead of Haas anyway...)

620 by my calculation. Looks like I got 650, need to look closer how to work out the score. :ROFLMAO:
Interesting to see Alpine mixing it with Ferrari & McLaren as the 'best of the rest'

@Wolffy84 how are you working out the BE?

Such an annoying race from a RDT perspective... Verstappen getting the fastest Lap deleted cost me a massive 80 points.

Lost 25 points on the McLaren to Ferrari trade too.

Dropped 23 spots from 16th Overall to 39th Overall with just 644 points.

Really wish the stewards where more consistent with track limits, it's ok for some but not others it seems and changes from race to race.

I misjudged those price changes a bit, didn't expect the Mercedes to go up in price which was good. Thought I could count on cash gains to get a RB in too with minor changes this week, but a couple I had lost cash off a low BE. Time for a strategy change I think.

Got the standard 644 points and now about 70th overall. Made about $13 million and i dont think you could make much more this round. The max fastest lap deletion costs a lot.

The top team requires $210 million. So a lot more cash generation required.

I didn't expect the Merc's or Hamilton to go up that much either, Spain should suit the Red Bull's much better than this weekend.
