For someone who's into motersport, I',m actually quite :poop: at this. :ROFLMAO:
A ton of luck involved in this game though, with Crashes and Mechanical Issues easily destroying rounds.

Especially tough when another driver takes out one of yours or one of your cars.

I've prepared some driver and teams break evens going into round 3. Hopefully these are pretty accurate. I'm sure most team owners have worked this out already, but cash generation early is key to obtaining expensive Mercedes/Red Bull teams/drivers later in the season.

Drivers: Norris -32, Tsunoda -29, Max -3, Leclerc 12, Schumacher 15, Kimi 20, Gio 20, Mazepin 27, Russell 27, Sainz 37, Gasly 37, Latifi 40, Dan 56, Ocon 61, Stroll 66, Perez 77, Alonso 85, Vettel 85, Hamilton 96, Bottas 157

Teams: Ferrari -17, Red Bull 22, McLaren 24, Haas 25, Alpha 28, Alfa 41, Williams 57, Alpine 109, Aston 128, Mercedes 136

If you don't have a Ferrari, you probably will before round 3. (And if you do have one, do you need two?) Those that started with Perez may need to switch him to a cheaper driver with a lower BE.

For my setup, I'll need to switch Gasly to Tsunoda and probably one of my McLarens to a second Ferrari. That leaves me about 12 million dollars in the bank and a tricky decision on whether to utilise a third trade for the round (maybe McLaren to a second Red Bull).

Looks like trusting the established drivers at the insurgent McLaren and Ferrari teams has paid off well! Gasly a little unlucky, had his race wrecked at the start of the first one and on a terrible strategy yesterday - shame because he looks red hot in quali and I think AT are at least the 5th best car right now.

Very strongly considering McLaren to second Ferrari next round even before I saw the BEs, but that solidifies it for me. They have way more money to make and Sainz looks to have settled in better than Danny Ric on exposed form.

One other thing I'm thinking about, although it won't be relevant until much later on most likely: given how many points overtakes score, I think if one of those higher up teams gets an engine penalty and gets sent to the back, and it's apparent before qualifying (as it was for Perez in one of the races last year, I think) you should just get that driver and both their cars in with your three trades. Unless it's at like Monaco I suppose!

I calculated 882 for us.

Bit annoyed Verstappen lost Fastest lap, as that lost 80 points having Verstappen C and 2 x Red Bulls. Alot of lost points, lol

I watched the race, was pretty good to watch with the rain that came in. That's one benefit of being here in the West... Most races are at 9pm our time instead of 11pm in the East, makes it a lot easier to watch the races.
Good round for us though what could have been with losing fastest lap and Perez spinning and losing a heap of spots.

i managed to watch the race too - being in Timor I split the difference between the times in the West and the East of Oz.

Really enjoying this F1 season compared to the last few seasons. Red Bull finally have two drivers who can cause Mercedes trouble. Ferrari and McLaren look to be best of the rest, but both have high standard drivers that can take their opportunities. The whole field just seems closer and that's when things happen in F1.

Already the rumour mill has Bottas not seeing out the season with Mercedes and Russell taking his place. Also suggesting Vettel won't stay at Aston Martin and Bottas could find a seat there.

Goodness me, talk about going the early crow!

Yeah it's amazing when the field is close enough that weird quali things can happen which just sets up the races really well - Bottas in 8th was less than half a second off pole last weekend! I think it was something like 8 tenths between everyone in Q2 as well - though of course that's a little skewed with different tyre choices.

Bottas has to at least outperform Perez, otherwise Hamilton has to fight two drivers from the same team, and there is usually a way to split strategies to make that very difficult.
