$220,600 ITB (21 trades left (before any this week)

Stewart, L Ryan, Laird, Short, Duggan, Chapman (Mansell, Highmore)

Macrae, Oliver, Merrett, J Kelly, Taranto, Powell, Jordon, Robertson(Scott, Berry, Sharp)

Gawn, Grundy (Flynn)

Zeibell, Martin, Walker, Impey, Warner, Bergman(Rowe, Fullarton)

Some serious concerns about how long Ryan will be out. Walker is a problem, but not as big as Chapman and L Ryan.

Thinking, I might just cut my losses on Ryan after only getting one game out of him saddly.

Thinking:

L Ryan to Lloyd
Champan to May/Daniel

Getting Lloyd means the big miss is Ridley, but may be able to do something around the byes with Duggan if possible.

Any other thoughts?
You could also put Laird in the mids to open a slot for Ridley.
Move him back if you get rid of Duggan later.

Potential trade candidates for this week are:
Walker BE 132
Gulden BE 86
Clark BE 79
Rowe BE 77
Young BE 72

Thinking Walker & Clark this week, then Gulden & Rowe next week.
I have some faith that Young will be there-abouts with his BE so he could wait until his bye.

Welcome any thoughts.

So my current thinking has 2 options on whether to get May this week or next week.

Option 1 - 1 up 1 down
Chapman and Kosi > Freddy and May

Option 2 - Double down and get May next round. Which banks on Kosi and May raising up the same value (both about 40k)
Champan and Gulden > Freddy and RCD (gives me a bank of about 500k).

Current Team -
Stewart, Ridley, SHort, CJ, Champman, Kosi, Jones, Highmore
Steel, Walsh, Oliver, Zerret, Laird, Taranto, Powell, Jordan, Gulden, McNiel, Sharp
Grundy, Mummy, Flynn
Ziebell, Martin, Impey, Atkins, Daniher, Robo, Warner, Brockman

I would go option one, biggest argument against two is going early on a rookie.

Keen to hear where others would use my second trade below? (after the obvious Chapman to Frederick).

Cripps > Walsh
Cripps > May
Gulden > May

Seem to be the leading candidates. Desperately want Walsh.

Gulden to May has my vote.

I think at this point getting rid of Cripps is a bit of a luxury. Might just have to ride him out and possibly trade him if you have enough trades down the track.

Cripps with that BE has to go IMO, there's just no way on exposed form he's even close to an M8 this season. If you're that keen on Walsh just get him, you'll sleep better, but have a plan for that D6 spot. Which is to say its probably this week or never for May and the choice between he and Walsh is pretty close given the Blues next two games.

May is certainly a bit of a compromise, but if I'm looking to not break the upgrade cadence and keep pushing those rookies to the bench it's something like:
May this week, $560k mid next week
vs
Mills this week, $440k mid next week

Not much happening down in the low 400s as far as midfielders is concerned so better to keep the train moving rather than stopping for another (low-value) downgrade.

Not sure if you’re asking as an X vs. Y or not, but May this week and the MID for up to $560k next comfortably for mine.

For those that didn’t bring in Chapman for Kosi we have a $250k player with a low BE in a year when cash is king v Chapman with a high BE.

It makes Frederick not as obvious a move.

Anyone else in this spot?
Likely to keep Kosi and pass on Freddie I think and I’m not yet sure of JS
have already brought May in for Gulden so a swap of Laird to mids and Freddie in means I am swapping a solid mid rookie on the park to Freddie for less points but some cash gen.

hmm..

At least 6 onfield rookie upgrades to make and probably only 3 guys on the bench generating enough cash when downgraded , would be looking at how you fund those upgrades and chasing "value" options when they present

Gulden - > May would be my suggestion

just my opinion

Too many Round 14 byes already I think, would have got Brayshaw last week otherwise.
Have you thought about a double down then, Tex and Chapman for Freddy/Thilthorpe. Thilthorpe will allow you to get rid of Flynn with one trade in future and also a very sizeable bank for coming weeks, along with some ruck cover. Also adds to the value of Marshall if he's on your horizon as it will open up RUC DPP cover. Tex's run looks to me to be basically over, time to cut bait and cash him in.
