What has changed for Worpel in the last 2 games ?
No longer tagging.

With Wingard and O’Meara out against the Saints he got his preferred and best role back in the main midfield rotation.

He’s also been playing the year injured. Has a busted hand, to the point where they were weighing up whether to book him in for surgery or not on the eve of round one. So he’s just battled through. Can’t help but think that has impacted him along with the role change this year, be it impacting his ability to lay tackles and possibly his ball drop for his kicking. Over the last couple of years he somewhat provided recruiters wrong with decent ball use by foot, but this year that has gone horribly wrong for him.

Thanks for the detailed response , forgot Wingard was out as well.

Might track him for a few rounds.

Atkins (BE 48) and Cumming (BE 53) owners, what are we thinking of doing with them?

Keeping them? F6/D6? Holding them for cover through R13/14 byes? Hoping they become F7/D7? Trading them once they look maxed out?

At the moment I am thinking Cumming might be the final player I upgrade, purely because there are too many 105+ options to be holding a 90 player at D6. Which sucks because I wish I could keep the guy I picked at 288k currently averaging 90.

As for Atkins, at this stage I feel he is as good as anyone in the FWD line minus 3 or 4 stronger options like Dusty/Zorko/Marshall. At the moment I think he is likely a season long keeper.

What are other people who have one/both of these guys thinking?

No way would I be getting rid of someone like Atkins or Hind right now given how scarce many of the forward premos are and the lack of any decent rookie options on that line as well. Hold them for as long as you can and if you have luxury trades later on you can upgrade them, or even plan to have him as an F7 if someone like Dangerfield comes back in the second half of the season and looks like a must have.

@Goodie's Guns has given you a much more detailed response than I would have, refer to that.

He wouldn't be my first choice, but he could provide short term value if you can get him in/out at the right time.

Still undecided on one of my trades for this round, whether I bring in a cheap defender while they are available or use up some of my cash for an extra premium defender to replace Chapman. Leaning to the premium option, just need to decide who.

Just came across Worpel's numbers , looked interesting.

Personally I think May is the best trade in option this round so I would be prioritising that over anything.

haha I hear ya

I actually think there is some merit in the Hogan trade, I think he can score well enough to make some money/potential forward keeper

The buddy one is highly likely to end in pain though I reckon!
For sure. Both would be massive risk/reward plays.

Buddy coming off a 130 could make 70k in 2 weeks. Or he could score 3 and do his calf.

I had been looking at the May/Daniel types in a one up, one down scenario, but this _could_ fix some problems, while letting me do that one up one down to Ridley instead next week.

The real issue is that my defence is _ok_ but lacks a couple of the top guys, who I need to get to. May or Daniel probably doesn't fix that. My forward line is a complete disaster. The smart play is obviously one up to someone like Dusty or Zorko and one down, but I'm still getting a premo that I can't trust while still having an additional rookie on field.

I clearly need to look further. An additional 80k would get me Walters and Hogan for example.

Or I can just suck it up and just fix one at a time.

Surely you need to remove all your onfield rookies before worrying about Atkins & Cumming ?

I guess if they are not losing $$$ and still maintaining their scoring they aren't causing too much of a problem.

You must have a strong side if they are your pressing concerns.

Probably will be, he is one I like, and this is the week to get him if you do want him with a single digit BE. I just haven't had the time to look at other options yet to make sure I want him as a keeper. Not the best bye, even if that is just one round.

got the exaxt same question atm, ive got hunter clark, cumming, jelly, and looking to grab may and atkins this round

looking to be full premo before the byes somehow

and i think with these type of players, you will be able to get full premo alot quicker so them decisions can be made later whether you upgrade them, or try and get them f7 and d7 in order to loop

For reference Ziebell is my F1, Daniher is F2...oh dear....
Yeah that's not ideal.

I am running with Ziebell at F1 currently, as I imagine many are. I am just fortunate to have Impey at F2

Ziebell, Impey, Daniher, Stephenson, Warner, Rowe/Treacy/Waterman

Fixing F6 a real priority, not sure I have the collateral to do it this week though unfortunately

Just scrolling through the 380-430k forwards. If it wasn't Aaron Hall I'd definitely be looking at him. 3 Rd average of 92 including a concussion 37. Season average of 76 across 5 matches also includes an injury sub 3 in his first game. Ignore those 2 and he's gone at 105 in his 3 complete matches...

But it's Aaron Hall.

That's true , everyone has different requirements.

May or Daniel this round , Ridley on sale next.

Footywire has Houston around the $ 420k mark as well soon.

Plenty of options available.
