ROOS LAUNCH FRESH BID FOR KELLY
North Melbourne is circling GWS midfielder Josh Kelly, despite the star having a trigger in his contract to add another eight years.
The Roos launched an audacious attempt to snare Kelly back in 2019, before he re-signed a two-year deal, with an eight-year option added onto that.
However, Kelly is yet to officially sign on the dotted line, with rival clubs beginning to circle.
“Headed by the Kangaroos, up to four clubs are circling another Giant, Josh Kelly,” Tom Browne revealed on 7 NEWS Melbourne.
“The reason, the Giants are playing the star at high half-forward. Clubs are asking why the 26-year-old isn’t getting time in the midfield.
“They have to pay a lot of money, the ball is mainly in Kelly’s court. He must decide if he exercises an eight-year option worth a million a year.”
Not sure on the validity because of Tom Browne but interesting if correct ...

We wouldn't have the salary cap space after the Kelly deal & given how he looks this season, not really interested in him tbh
We have 3 picks in the first 2 rounds of the draft this year, some very talented WA midfield prospects so think we will hit the draft hard - really need to get some depth/ quality youth into that part of our list.
