Always throw out all the crazy ideas and then see what the feedback sounds like.
Something like Aaron Hall 3 weeks ago might have felt "crazy" but once you actually pieced it all together it was a great trade to make.
I think Cerra presents a very interesting proposition for specific teams. My team for example if I took Cerra I'd almost certainly have the trades and cash to then be able to upgrade Taranto to say Neale as a luxury move. (Shame about Taranto's bye, will definitely factor that in to the value M8 type play next time).
I think right now the most important factor should be the byes and how you're looking. I'm personally in pretty big trouble for the first two byes, will be very lucky to field 18 I think at this point (couple of rookies back to add 30 points never sounded better). Hence I've personally cut my list down to just round 14 targets right now. Naturally this is being crushed by the rookie targets this round with the clear standout being in my worst bye!
Essentially I am trying to find something to upgrade McNeil to without spending all my bank in one go as I still have to fix Jones , Jordon , Rowe & Warner as well.
Have Laird & Martin sitting in my mids at the moment which is confusing me as well.
Looking into whether Haynes could work at D6 (from a cheapish upgrade from Highmore/Mansell) possibly.
No idea what is on the rookie midfield horizon over the next few weeks when Byrnes & Poulter have peaked in price.
Still piggy back Flynn & Mumford so hoping Reeves backs up next round otherwise it might be Treacy in.
So possibly McNeil - > Cerra (or Heeney via Zorko)
Then sit tight for a few rounds and see what happens to Duncan , Neale , Steele or next rung down in Adams , Parker , Petracca types.
Cerra goes 100+ for the next 12 rounds is probably a good result.
As always lots of different ideas/thoughts
Thank god Heath Shaw allowed us to reverse trades during the week 😀
