Pruess has torn his pectoral muscle at the gym and will be out for another 8 weeks, great news for Flynn owners!
That's massive , was reading yesterday he was a test to play VFL this weekend.

How long do we hold Flynn for though until we need his cash for upgrades ?
I honestly don’t think he was ever a threat to Flynn at all across the next few weeks/month(s). There’s a fair argument to say that he’s just as far down the ruck ladder at GWS as he was at Melbourne.

If anything, this injury maybe makes him a 2022 option if he doesn’t take the field at AFL level this year. That’s if, with a full uninterrupted preseason under his belt, that he can challenge and get ahead of Flynn, Briggs and Mumford (if he’s still there another year).

Guess it will depend on whether they keep playing Mumford & Flynn together , looks like Mumford had 21 CBA & Flynn 7 CBA on the weekend.

When Mumford has his rests , does Flynn then play as # 1 ruck and they find a forward as a back up ?

Not sure what their options in defence are now with Taylor injured , was reading Briggs might come in and play key defence.

I guess the other options are Finlayson & Riccardi.

Davis is still a few weeks away as well.

GWS has so many injuries to talls, that I suspect Flynn plays on indefinitely. Haynes is likely the only KPD they have left, as Buckley will probably miss a week. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if Briggs comes in to play as either a defender or tall forward. Riccardi is already playing as a defender and Finlayson just isn't accountable enough to be one, that's why he became a forward in the first place because he was so bad as a defender.

Can Buntine play as the 3rd/4th tall ?

Riccardi , Taylor + Briggs (could be a better option than Madden , Sproule , Weightman)

Davis still 2 weeks away , Hogan 3-5.

Never knew Buckley was 193.

I agree with the bolded: Flynn actually looks really good around the ground, better than Mumford, which would figure given their respective ages. I think he's locked in as a forward/ruck basically for the rest of the season unless something drastic happens (touch wood it doesn't, as I do know the family!)

My bye-round analysis for my team has me having to trade out Flynn in R13 to move the non-playing Fullarton into R3 or face a forward line donut... pending an amazing R12 rookie forward appearing and playing that week.

If Reeves makes it through and I want him in, then I've got to trade Flynn AND Fullarton that week to get warm bodies in the right spots .

So I think his time is just about up.

Be interesting to see what people do if Reeves backs it up and they still trade Flynn down to him.

Smith & Treacy the only other options , not sure if someone in the mid season draft appears in Round 12 straightaway (think the last time they held it , 1 maybe 2 played straight away)

No idea who is on the horizon for a forward line rookie , Briggs on the Bye , Cockatoo maybe appears soon although Brisbane have 4-5 Best 22 already due to return in the next few rounds.

Maybe we get some Round 11 newbies

Could do Gawn to Reeves in round 13 instead? That'll free up some $$$
