Talk that the GC v Hawks game will still go ahead this week.

Time to revert to original trade plans.
I'm not sure about that, if so it's not likely it'll be in NT. The Chief Minister basically said it would be extremely unlikely to go ahead here.

Fellow non-Dusty owners, are we grabbing him this week?

Those like me who grabbed Hall over him last week were scoffed at, but it's worked out well on the BE front.

I'm torn between strengthening my not so great midfield with Walsh vs grabbing a very nicely priced Dusty with a good draw from here.

I was very bullish on Dusty early in the year but if it was me, it's a POD I'd be happy not to have. If he strings a couple together by all means but Richmond look a little unsettled atm. I think his best is when the whole team is up and flying.

Anyone got thoughts, fors and against on Whitfield? Under $500k with 1% ownership
I am interested after his bye in round 12 for sure, round 13 matchup v North is very appealing.

498K, BE of 107 this week so looms as potential bargain premium defender pick.

Keen to watch him this week, has been rusty as expected since his return from that serious injury but fitness & touch slowly building.

Surely you are not at full premium already and have the luxury of trading out the 10th highest defender on aggregate ?

I must be months behind the majority if that's the case (still have 5 onfield rookies 😢)

Wouldn't you want Whitfield to comfortably outscore Short by 10-20 ppg for the rest of the season to justify that trade ?

Short averaging 96 , fantastic team if he is a problem.

Coaches going Short to Whitfield...must have a lot of trades in hand. Seems a luxury trade and lucky to break even for the cost of the trade. At a 10ppg differential (105 v 95) that's only a 110 point gain. And that's assuming that Whitfield plays every game...meanwhile Short has been healthy the whole year.

If Houli breaks down somewhere along the line then it's possible that Short ends up outscoring Whitfield in the backend of the season.

Why are people not looking at trading Whitfield in this week?
BE 107 IIRC and has a good record against Bris, just curious.
Because his bye is next week. No real point trading him in this week when he won’t move much either side of his current price.

Locked trade in for me Round 13.

Fair enough, I do struggle to get my head around this concept though. I mean anyone we trade in this week is still going to miss a game due to the bye......

Yep, he's on the block! I might even manage another slingshot if $ all work out. But some rookies must appear!

Does anyone have insight on Blicavs/Geelong set up?
Is he taking the 1st Ruck responsibilities?
34 hitouts last week, 119sc points. 85 v Saints and 98 v Richmond.
Where is Stanley?
Has a good bye and D/M. Never seems to throw in terrible scores, although 2 50s this year and is durable.
Would be a super pod, but for teams like mine, which is low on trades and will need value picks, he could be an option at $429,600 to swing with Laird/FDs.
I had Ratagulea in my DFS lineup on the weekend as he looked value and they named him as the starting ruck. Blicavs then seemed to take most of the around-the-ground ruck duties after the centre bounces....

Not really sure if that's the setup they will have going forward though, as it was against the Suns bad rucking division.

Correct, and that’s where it comes down to individual teams and where they sit premium structure wise and upgrades needed.

For mine, I have 4 DEF rookies who I expect to all play this round and still have money to make, and Laird in the MIDs. The midfield premium is a better option for me this week, with my target similarly to Whitfield that they are fairly/underpriced and have an achievable BE, and also a better matchup/run of games this week and next.

Round 13 for me is the logical Whitfield trade in as I’ll be comfortably able to trade out a fully run rookie who is on their bye.

Personally it's more that Whitfield is the only Round 12 bye player remaining that I have an interest in and don't already own, so I'm saving him for Round 13 when I will be looking for a Round 12 upgrade.

If you don't already own guys like Stewart, Hall etc. though then I see no harm grabbing Whitfield this week.
