Depending how that lines up with your byes, I would go Jiath/Warner to Weightman and Whitfield and bank $380k for upgrades throughout the byes - that money will be handy with 3 trades next week where you could bring in 2 midfielders for Jordon and Robbo.
Banks 200k for upgrades but I dont mind it.

Out - Jordon and Scott
In - Petracca and Treacy

Bypassing Madden for two reasons. I can't afford Trac if I get him who is my ideal upgrade target this week. And I think his JS is wildly unknown. Treacy will slide into the ruck bench for me when I move Flynn eventually. Not expecting much from him other than a slow burn as he continues to get games throughout the season which he will.
AS a Traecy owner... he's probably the slowest of burns i've ever seen.

be wonderful if he even gets above a normal rookie price of 123,900

That's true hasn't shown any type of scoring ability yet. I'm banking on that improving a little bit, should gain some confidence from the weekend, kicked a crucial goal in clutch time.

This is how I am prior to trading, basically 6 upgrades left with 13 trades so in a bit of trouble, advice on how best to go about it would be appreciated. View attachment 30511
Rough calculations you probably need 600-750k to upgrade Jordon , Robertson , Collier-Dawkins & Warner (probably closer to 900k given you still need 3 mids)

Flynn gives you good $$$.

Will their be even 1-3 viable downgrades for Scott , Berry & Poulter at the right time though to fund all your upgrades ?

Probably would go Warner - > Weightman and hope Atkins & Jiath return to form before fixing them and upgrade your onfield rookies.

I keep weighing up Weightman. His bye means he doesn't really help me on ground, and I'm likely better off selecting a CCJ type (in the rounds ahead) and using the cash elsewhere.

I think Weightman has pretty good JS, it's probably what swayed me to get him in, especially bringing Heeney in at the same time. Hopefully he'll be a season long (bench) rookie keeper

After a bit of thought this week im going

Jordan -> Heeney
Mcneil -> Madden

Not sold on Maddens JS but his D/F swing unlocks a lot of flexibility with Highmore and Murphey as D7/D8 and it lets me get Steele and Whitfield in the next two weeks. After that two weeks I will have 9 trades and one rookie ( Poulter) on the field so I will have enough trades to correct Heeney if (when) he breaks down. By my count I have 3 big injury risks on my team in Heeney/Hall/Daniher (maybe Ziebell too) but I think I'm in a similar boat to everyone with a patchy forward line.

Nice pun, first up. A1.

I'm in a similar situation. Can't work out whether he works for me at that price and bye.

Also, in spite of myself, I'm noticing what a nice run Heeney has before his bye if he makes it there.

Could bring in: Weightman and Zorko, (or any Bolton, Dale, Hind, Hall, Heeney etc.)
or

It's almost too good to pass up despite the risk. Any thoughts? Would be trading out 2 of Scott, Bergman, Jordan.

I think it depends on whether you feel you have a spare trade or not. He's so cheap for what he can deliver but you have to factor in the extra trade.

Initial thoughts were no trades this week.
In some strife with the round 13 bye, going to be nasty.

Wouldn't mind Weightman or Madden but both round 13 players.
Torn about advancing the team or having an absolute shocking round 13.

Can go Atkins to Weightman, then Jordon to either Steele or Mills.
Toughest trade decision for the year. Trade or hold. 15 trades remaining.

Yeah, sitting on 15 before trades, with 3-4 upgrades to a quasi complete team... ie have got Cripps, Short, May.

Looking at Hall after his bye, so I probably would be tempting the wrath of GO'Donell the football deity, by bringing in Heeney and Hall.

Could also go two out of Bolton, Dale, Hind, etc.

I've been pretty set on Bolton from before his "misadventure" - can anyone fill me in on the Tigers situation re. his role for the second half of the season? Any info on Dale would be great too. I haven't had time to watch much footy recently...

Strangely have green ticks across the board except for Sharp my floating donut

Thinking McNeil > Madden (via Poulter DPP) who looks like a solid rookie and D/F DPP helps for future trades

Adds some cash for upgrades over the bye

A friend of mine is interested in this questions also 😬
Fwiw, ended up deciding against it.
Would depend a little on your configuration.
Have Murphy and L Jones on the DEF bench already and don't have a good way to move Laird to MIDs. Coupled with the likely rookie trade-ins over the coming weeks, couldn't find a good trade set bringing Highmore back in.
How does it look in your case?

I need advice, cerra or cripps?
As a current disgruntled Cripps owner, would advise against getting him. He'll be lucky to average 90 at best for the rest of the year.

Cerra easily. Averaging 101 if you take out his injury score.

Cripps in comparison is averaging 109 if you take out 9 of his sub 100 scores. 🤣

Cash worries me a bit which is why I was considering the double down, could bank over 450k and have plenty of options during the byes.

Was going to sit pat this week but am reconsidering.

Probably Scott > Jones, a week late but gives me:
  • at least the potential of 18 players in week 13 (previously only had 14 so with three tradeouts the week prior would be getting to 17),
  • extra cash and/or points with Scott probably decreasing in price next week if he returns or bye problems if he doesn't,
  • someone to fill a spare spot on the defense bench next week if Parks is back, and
  • a bit of cash for upgrades going into bye weeks, because I've found you can often get stuck if you can't do two up, one down and there's not two viable downgrade options in a given week.
It makes a suspicious amount of sense, to the point where I suspect I'm missing something???
