12/1293 C Grundy, Jordon on bench unable to be used.
Projected top overall to be around 800th (over 250 drop)

Sunday thoughts:
Lack of rookies to use for Macrae VC costly.
Baby Macrae score of 6 may look awful, however, 100% of bench played, 1st time since round 1!
Byes look awful for who I want at this stage.
Flynn to Reeves and Rowe to Bianco will take cash to $800k.
Refresh of team will likely see cash carried of $400k across 4-5 rounds, needed three trades for last few weeks.
Beside Jordon, next upgrades will be costly. Can see Neale and Bont with probably $200k left over to complete mids.
Have missed Zorko, Danger not back for a while, Dunkley longer and pricey.
Will be tempting to sideways Short into Whitfield, Taranto to Touk/Steele, Impey to premium, however, dangerous with forwards still uncompleted and needing trades to complete.
Too many rookies who will be $200-250k in value (Neill, Murphy, Highmore, Jones, Waterman, RCD), hopefully Poulter/Weightman go above.
Fortunate with team value, however, more so than prior year, there are value options who can help out teams struggling to make money (with one bad game every few, or injury risk like Hall) with many top end premiums not consistent enough to justify price either.

Hey Goodwin, Harmes to Zorko this week would be good, kill two (imaginary) birds with one stone.

Daniher and impeys down week has certainly sent a scare/wake up call through my plans going forward. They have been on a good consistent run as of late and have overachieved from what I expected at the start of the year, but probably a little reminder that these blokes might fall just short of what we want from a ‘keeper’.

Lack of trades and decent replacements probably dictates that they stay in my team for better or worse, but how those at the pointy end deal with them going forward could have a big influence on final rankings

1841/17 (Steele )
Laird, Mills, Short, Dusty & Heeney to come. Should crack 2,300 which is ok but not massive.

Daniher and Impey don’t really hurt. Gaff’s 78 does . Highmore meh - remains to be seen what Jones does.

Weightman a little disappointing given what Madden did. Took Poulter’s 66 over RCD using Saunders.

disclaimer - these are estimates , this one was early Saturday so a lot of things can move...
important note 1 - especially for the weekly - I only have the top 20k teams, so you might have teams coming from the back with a big score.
also - some of the loophole can only be identified when the game is played ( players noted as "extended bench or emergency..." are assumed to be playing ... )

You are still in the run from what I can see - with Brayshaw and Jones as PODs and Short and Heeney as Anti POD

In a wet game coming from behind bombers were not gonna ever be going back using slow play

understandable ridley had a downish game, but his new role doesnt look like 120-140

more 95-110

which is annoying
I am not sure I understand.

Given Ridley is averaging more though 10 rounds than last year, and was in the top 6 averages for defenders prior to the start of the round in the lower triple digits, surely 95-110 is exactly the range coaches would be happy with rather than annoyed by?

Granted his role going forward may not be ideal but anything 90-95 plus would be winning territory

Wanting or expecting a defender to average 120-140 (ie peak GAJ, Pendles and Danger type numbers) is pretty unrealistic in my view, particularly when 2020 was the breakout season of the particular player in question.

16/1876 with new recruit Steele C  - oh that sliding door moment on Sat deciding between Grundy/Steele - legenedary @Connoisseur captain stats on Grundy v Stanley helped with that final decision

Has been a slow burn year thus far so it feels pretty good to put together a nice score so hopefully Sunday is a positive finish with Laird, Martin, Short, RCD, Warner and Freoshaw to play

Some amazing projected scores on here!

15/1545 - Macrae,

Short, Martin, Lloyd, Fyfe, Jones, RCD, Laird and Walsh to come, again would be happy over 2200 as Sunday carnage is inevitable

I have no idea why North play both Hall and Ziebell in the back line together. Great for SC, but just seems complete overkill loading all your elite kicks in the back line, especially when neither are actually that good at defending. No wonder they can't move it past half way.
Shhh North Melbourne coaches might hear you and then were all stuffed
