Scores involvements and metres gained don't add anything by themselves, I believe. At the time Doch had an extra contested possession (which should've been a hard ball get too; extra points) and both were at 100% efficiency. Lloyd was on 23dt for 36sc while Doch was 22dt for 23sc. Seems a bit unfair.
Higher metres gained usually can be inferred to be more long effective kicks. A lot of the advanced stats are not privy to us during the match and are only known post match/round.

Bigger factor was that CD gave Docherty a kick on his air swing just so they could give him a clanger they otherwise couldn't have which led directly to a goal so maximum punishment.
