ROUND 16 PREVIEW

It's Round 16, Things are really starting to heat up with most teams at the stage that they are fully upgraded, or close to it. The PL after a slow start to the year is impoved its league ranking gradually over the season and is now ranked 81 and hopefully which such committed coaches we can push up the list further and crack the top 50 or better over the remaining rounds, so keep up the good work all :).

Match of the Round

1625187588407.png

The match of the round this week sees James and Ricky Bobby up against Adrian and Tailspower. James has his team flying lately with a 5-0 recent record to gradually rocket up the ladder, whilst Adrian has been somewhat sturggling recently with a 1-4 recent record so will be keen to turn his recent form around and keep in touch with the top 4 and a double chance. Plenty of POD's in this match-up so it cold go either way. Both coaches are yet to deal with Impey and which ever way they go could have a bearing on the result of the match-up, but I think James and his boys will be too stong.

Prediction: Ricky Bobby to continue his run of wins and win by 70 points.

Other Matches

1625187622895.png

Coach Ben comes up against the master coach Jay this week and will be keen to put on a good show against Jay this week. Ben has carries the better recent form line of 3-2 into this match versus Jay's 2-3 so has a good oppurtunity to make some moves this week. Caoch Jay has some issues in the RUC line with both Reeves and Smith appearing to be no-shows whist Ben has the advantage of Gawndy this week before trades. Jay will be hoping his big guns in Bont and Steele can make up some of the disadvantage in the rucks this week, but Ben will be hoping that the somewhat maligned Cripps can lift for this match to help Ben's cause this week.

Prediction: Its always brave to bet against Jay, but I will be going Beasts FC to win in a close one by 20 points.

1625187652302.png

Coach Andew and his Rabble comes up against vetran David's Badboys this week. The Rabble has been just chugging along recently with a 3-2 recent record against David's 4-1 recent record. Coach Andrew will be sweating on the fitness of Neale which is not a problem David has. David will be keen to make up some ground and keep in touch with the top 8, but Andrew wil need to keep going to keep in touch with the top 4 and the vital double chance.

Prediction: Will be a close match up, but I'm going for the Rabble by 10 points.

1625187744391.png

Fair to say coach Iain has not been having the season he woud have hoped for, but to his credit he as continued to build his team and is to be commended for that despite his results, this week he comes up against another formidable opponent in coach Phil who has his team flying in 2nd position on the H2H ladder and will be keen to continue his strong season to date. Coach Iain got off to a good start over night with one of his POD players getting a great score to put the match in his favour despite the difference in the H2H ladder positions and will be keen to continue the advantage.

Prediction: I'm going for an upset this week and tipping the Bandit's in a close one by 15 points.

1625187763991.png

In what could be seen as a battle of the ceiler dwellers nothing can be taken for granted, Coach Jason is only one game outside the top eight so will be keen to put this one to bed against the bottom H2H team. However, coach Mark has despite his slow start to the season has shown great persistance and the never say die attitude that would be expected from a coach in such a prestegious league, he caries the better recent H2H record into the match and will be keen to put in a big one and hope to rise up the H2H ladder. Pay the Mark is currenty 3 games out side the top 8 and has no choice but to go full steam ahead. Coach Jason has Docherty to deal with and will be another sweating on the fitness of one Lachie Neale.

Prediction: Jaca's attackers to keep in touch with the top 8 and win by 15 points.

1625187782042.png

Coach Sho comes up against the H2H ladder leader this week in coach Keith and will be another keen to cause an upset against the top team. Sho has the bettter recent record (3-2) against 2-3, so Keith will need to be on guard to keep Sho at arms length. Not as many POD's in this match-up so trades could go some way in determining the result. Both coaches will be sweating on the fitness of Neale and Sho still has to deal with Impey and has Docherty to add to his list of problems to deal with this week altough Short did not cover himself in glory as a POD player for coach Keith last night.

Prediction: Will be a hottly contested battle, but I will be going for Courtseans to win and retain top spot by 8 points.

1625187799053.png

Coach Tim and his Guns is another whom as been a litte off the pace in the H2H ladder, but is one whom has been on the wrong side of the draw and carries the superior overall ranking into the match against the higher H2H ranked Adian and his Darkness. Adrian has a few issues to deal with this week given the un-timely injury to Docherty, but both will be sweating on the fitness of Neale and hope he gets up for this week. Miller got The Darkness of to a great start last night and Adrian will be keen to storm home the early advantage. Tim also has some issues to deal with with Briggs, Madden and Fullarton not playing and the poor start to the week by Jones.

Prediction: The Darkness to take the battle by 80 points.

1625187819351.png

Coach Matt and MADMUNZA comes up agains the might of Jack and his PC team in this weeks match. Both coaches carry in a defiect 2-3 recent recordm but both are coming of very strong performances last week posting scores of 2,524 amd 2,528 so this is set to be another hotly contested match-up and could come down to the wire and nothing can be taken for granted as is usually the case in the PL. The match could well come down to Grundy v Naitanui in the ruck battle. Coach Matt has been carrying a few under-performing types but will be keen to see the likes of Heeney, Daniher lift for the occasion.

Prediction: PC to win by 25.

1625187836584.png

Both teams have been in struggle town recently carrying a 2-3 recent record for the Vikings and 1-4 record for Blaze of Glory so both will be keen to get back on the winners list this week. Coach Ash has some issues to deal with in Impey and potentially Neale, but Jones on-field this week was not the start coach Tom would have been after, but Short did not fair much better for the Vikings last night.

Prediction: Blaze of Glory to win by 35.

Goodluck to all this week, may your players be good to you

Great Preview and first MOTR for team RB this year, so looking forward to the contest. Both my team and @Tails are locked together on 32 points, one game in front of the chasing pack and one game behind the top 4 so a win this week is super important for both of us. Good luck Tails, it will be interesting to see how the weekend pans out.

Great stuff @Deeman1 and i will be battling uphill to get back into our match up that shocking start!

I had stern words with the rest of my squad last night...it was an old skool leon cameron style ear bashing...triple digits out you're out! The feedback was that the fish rots at the head and i needed to take a good hard look at myself as there was zero reason to not loop CCJ yesterday!

Coach Iain got off to a good start over night with one of his POD players getting a great score to put the match in his favour despite the difference in the H2H ladder positions and will be keen to continue the advantage.

Prediction: I'm going for an upset this week and tipping the Bandit's in a close one by 15 points.

Goodluck to all this week, may your players be good to you
Great work Ash! Good luck with your tips :p

Go well @Goodie's Guns, it might be last man standing this week! 🙂

Congrats @Courtesans - far too good in the end!

Had a bit of Sunday disappointment due to Sidebottom and Daniel (in addition to the disappointment brought about by the various injuries throughout the week, esp the Doch injury).

Uphill battle for me now to try make finals but let’s see if I get some more luck in the remaining rounds

Trade Round Up Round 16

In's & Out's - Round 16.jpg

Trade Observations...
1
Coach traded in Steele Sidebottom who then preceded to score just 33 points for his new owner
2 Coaches where rewarded with a handy 80 points from new recruit Lachlan Bramble
3
Coaches said goodbye to Lachie Neale upon hearing he didn't fly to Adelaide
4 Coaches traded out Cody Weightman who looked close to his peak price, only for him to score a mammoth 115
6 Coaches waited a week, but still had to trade out Jarman Impey
7
Coaches would have massive grins on their faces after trading in Patrick Dangerfield who scored a monster 184 points!!

ROUND 17 PREVIEW

It's Round 17, The season is coming towards it's finale, and the race is well and truly on to lock down a finals spot. There are some crucial matches this week that will help shape the eight, so maximum effort is needed by all to get the win.... It's all to play for in the SCS Premier League.

Round 17 Match-Up's.jpg

Match of the Round

Ricky Bobby v The Darkness.jpg
A great match-up to start the round. Coach James’ team is currently the hottest team in the league on a five game winning streak. And he’s not just beating opponents… He’s crushing them. Coach Adrian’s form line is a little misleading, whilst he has lost five of his last six matches… Three of those have been by under 25 points. So it’s not as bad as first glance, but he does need to start winning to secure a finals spot. Plenty of POD’s in this one, It’s looking like a cracker match-up.
Prediction: A Flip of the coin match… The Darkness to get the much needed win by 21 points

Other Matches

Beasts FC v Diabolical Rabble.jpg
A big win for Coach Ben last week sees his team in a good patch of form winning four of his last six matches. Finals are looking unlikely though due to the poor start to the season. But his men have far from given up and he can still influence the finals. Currently sitting on top of the ladder, things couldn’t be going better for Coach Andrew though winning five of his last six games. He’s firmly cementing himself as one of the favorites to take out the title. A win is needed to keep the momentum going.
Prediction: Diabolical Rabble to continue on their winning ways and win by 47

Brownie's Bandits v SuperCoachScores.jpg
Easily the league’s most out of form team at the moment, Things are pretty tough for Coach Iain and his men. Whilst he hasn’t really been blown away, he just can’t find that little bit of luck to get turn a loss into a win. A few weeks ago, Coach Jay was the hottest man in the league… practically unstoppable. But the last three weeks has been a disaster for him with three heavy losses. A win is crucial for him to try lock down a finals spot.
Prediction: SuperCoachScores in a thriller by 10 points

Jaca's Attackers v Rons Badboys.jpg
Coach Jason has been a little hot and cold this year, never winning more than two matches in a row. With his team right in the middle of the pack for a finals spot… He must break that trend and win his third match in a row this week. Coach David is slightly behind in that hunt for a finals spot so a win is crucial for him this week if he wants a chance at finals footy. Plenty of POD’s to try help get the win for their team.
Prediction: Jaca’s Attackers to do enough to get the win by 19 points

Jibrangers v Philzsay.jpg
After a good mid-season patch of form, Coach Sho has lost three of his last four matches to fall right into the middle of the pack. He will be looking for answers as to why his form has turned on him, and looking to put in a stronger effort this week in a crucial match-up. Coach Phil however is on a four game winning streak, including a couple of really big wins. A match winning effort from his star Dangerfield got him across the line last week, so he’d be looking for others to step up this week.
Prediction: Philzsay to prove too strong and win by 38 points

Goodies Guns v Pay The Mark.jpg
After a dreadful first part of the season, Coach Tim has well and truly turned it around and won four in a row now. A couple of those have just been narrow wins… but that’s all you need, just keep the wins ticking over. Finals are sadly out of the question for Coach Mark, however I’m sure his top priority is to cause some damage to other teams and upset their finals plans. He’s had a couple of really good wins lately so getting some wins and heading into next season on the back of good form is the priority.
Prediction: Goodie’s Guns to continue the winning streak and win by 66 points

MADMUNZA v Courtesans.jpg
Coach Matt hasn’t had the season he would have liked, but the last couple of weeks has been good. He will be looking to take this good form into this week and hoping for a few upsets to try force his way into the finals picture. Coach Keith has been having a fantastic season, with the only hiccup a four loss patch in the middle of the season. But even then he could just as easily won three of those matches. His team is sitting pretty in second spot and looking a real threat. Will be hard to beat on the run home.
Prediction: Really hard one to tip… But have to go with the form team, Courtesans by 22 points

GV Vikings FFC v PC.jpg
Coach Ashley started the season so well, but the last few weeks have been tough. Three losses, two of them heavy losses, has seen his team just clinging to a spot in the top eight. A win is vital to both turn around this bad form, and keep himself in the finals hunt. Coach Jack is eyeing off a top two or top four spot. A minor bump was the loss last week, but before that had won five out of six games, so I expect the focus to be there from his team this week with what is on offer.
Prediction: Hard to predict is this one, but PC to win by 36 points

Blaze of Glory v TailsPower.jpg
A great match-up to finish the round. Coach Tom is coming off a big win last week and all he has to do is keep winning and a finals spot is secure. That easier said than done in this league though. Coach Adrian is going through a real rough patch losing four of his last five matches. It’s stunning, considering he was looking like the form ream of the league early in the season. This is one of those classic eight point games that will shape the top eight. Can't wait to see how this one turns out.
Prediction: Blaze of Glory to come out on top and win by 14 points
