I am sure you know the answer then , what has been the cause of his dramatic drop off in scores since Round 6 then ?
I am speaking broadly - rather than specific to Gawn vs Darcy - but in this case I don’t think it is a dramatic drop off.

It’s easy to cherry pick stats to suit a narrative. Whenever someone posts an “average of X in his last N starts”, I always think they should be forced to quote the average in the last N+1 rounds as well. You say, Gawn has been poor since round 6, well that’s convenient - he had 147 in round 6.

Sure, he had a shocker against North. But that’s also the only time he’s dropped below the ton this season (8 in a row to today)
He’s averaged 115 since round 5
He’s averaged 117 since round 7

No one’s running for the door on those numbers. The average of 141 for the first 6 rounds was unsustainable. 123 for the season is within a standard deviation of where most expected him I’d say (spoken as someone who didn’t start him).

Jackson is a great up and comer, and will eat into some of the margins (took 40% CBA last out). But Gawn’s class and contested marking will keep him at the upper echelons of the comp in SC terms.

Another poor decision on the rookie front. Eddie Ford debutant last week as sub with no game time. Then he is dropped the next week with 1 game to his name. Not even named amongst the 26 this week.
