Now that the final siren has sounded, I would like to congratulate @Bomber18 and his Roppongian Rangers on your emphatic win.

Far to strong on the day, however, our emerging Timelords will be stronger for the experience.

I would like to extend a special thanks to our league commissioner @KLo30 and his trusty o***ider @Goodie's Guns I feel privileged and have thoroughly enjoyed being part of this competition over the past two seasons and look forward to going one better next year!
Thanks @Diabolical ! Congratulations to you on a great season as well, finishing minor premiers and also finishing runner up (when some other coaches had tried to write the Timelords off!) - some deserved prizes on their way to you as well!

Echo your thoughts - a big thanks to @KLo30 for all the time put in to develop the SCSUL and keeping it running on a weekly basis and to @Goodie's Guns. The projected scores have been a spectacular addition!

It’s been a difficult year for me in SC classic (not making any top 8 finals) but the SCSUL comp has given me something to look forward to in the month of August fantasy wise. Very fortunate to have had the matchups and luck swing my way this weekend to get over the line!

JLloyd will have to get the Norm Smith medal by default with his team high score (although NN would be close in the polls). Captain JSteele is the Ranger’s player of the finals series with his efforts of 158, 155 and 129 as captain.

Congrats @Bomber18.

Great win and brilliant season on round. Thank you for all your efforts @KLo30 and @Goodie's Guns

Even happier you scored 2260 plus Sho, would have been another heart-breaking loss to you if the arrogance at selection table didn't cost me a spot in the granny. Would have come down to Tarrant & Goldy V Lynch, Mcdonald + 17 points!

Buddy resting may cost himself a spot at the YRA next season.

Congratulations @Bomber18 for your win and becoming the second team to claim the ultimate glory in the SCSUL.

Commiserations @Diabolical, a fantastic season from yourself, and you now get to join me as a Grand Finalist without the ultimate glory.

If you two are able to send through your bank details via PM I'll sort the prize money :)

And an FYI all, in the coming days the Rising Star and Bay Villas Resort All Australian Team voting survey will come out.
So be ready to answer that ASAP. :)

The Rangers’ quest to go back to back has been dealt an early blow, with the news that Tobe Watson has been delisted!

UL coaches eagerly awaiting further updates on squad changes in the coming days.
Yet to be seen whether signed up by a new AFL club :p

Jack Macrae was the run away winner of the Tom Baker medal at the Arcadia Timelords Best & Fairest count held earlier tonight in the Console Room at the Tardis. Macrae capped a stellar season by polling in 17 matches to finish on an impressive 63 votes, ahead of emerging talents Darcy Parish and Sean Darcy, with 2020 medalist Nic Naitanui in fourth place.

Macrae said that he was “proud to captain a team with so much young talent coming through” and that it was “a privilege to play along side such supportive teammates each and every week.” He said that he was confident that the team would use this years disappointing Grand Final loss as motivation and that he feels that “ultimate success is just around the corner.”

In other awards, Tom Green was awarded best first contract player, whilst Sean Darcy was named as the most improved player for 2021. Joe Daniher was named best clubman after his injury free run saw him play every game this season.

Tom Baker Medal Top 10
1. Jackson Macrae (63 votes)
2. Darcy Parish (40)
3. Sean Darcy (34)
4. Nicholas Naitanui (33)
5. Tom Liberatore (22)
6. Callum Mills (19)
7. Jordon Dawson (15)
8. Jaeger O’Meara (14)
9. Caleb Daniel (12)
10. Ed Langdon & Scott Pendlebury (10)

Hey @KLo30, have a query on how the salary support works on players.

If players are delisted/retire, I understand that their salary is written off for the remainder of their contract (assuming a coach has paid at least their avg salary each year). Does this also apply if players have been traded and their future salaries have been apportioned between coaches?

Eg I have to pay 50% of DBJ’s 2025 salary, if DBJ gets delisted or retires before 2025, does that salary payment obligation also fall away for me too?

I've always had it that teams are responsible for the salary they've agreed to pay in future years regardless of delistings or retirement.

So, you'll still have to pay DBJ's 2025 salary whether he is on an AFL list or not.

Thanks Ken! Does this also apply for the coach who has the player on their list? EG if DBJ was delisted/retired before the 2024 season would salaries be written off or still apply for Darkie in 2024 and 2025?
