Socceroos looked OK, just wasted some good chances. Saudis spent more time on their backs than their feet but finished off the match better after the Aussies made a few subs.

A draw is not the end of the world, but it is looking like a four way battle for the qualifying spots now. Scores half way through qualifying if Oman and Japan both win as expected will be Saudis 13, Aussies 10, Japan and Oman 9. Hopefully China or Vietnam can get a result tonight to give us a bit more breathing room.

Wouldn't want to lose to Oman & Saudi Arabia , need to beat Japan.

And get maximum points from China & Vietnam

Australia now 3rd in the group, a point behind Japan, but 4 clear of Oman in 4th. :(

Looking at the other group, no idea who will come 3rd at this stage if we have to go through the play off. Iran and South Korea look like getting the auto spots, 3rd is currently UAE on 6 then it's Lebanon 5, Iraq 4, Syria 2.

That draw could be very costly , need to get points against Saudi Arabia & Oman.

Might all come down to the Japan game if we finish 2nd or 3rd.

Haven't paid much attention to the other group at all.
