“We got Tsunoda’d”, Horner told Sky when asked about the team’s surprise defeat in qualifying after their strong showing in final practice.

“Both drivers were up on their last lap. Max was up two and a half tenths, I think Checo was just under two tenths up and I don’t understand why he [Tsunoda] was just cruising around at that part of the circuit.

That's going to be a fun debrief...

Should be a good points haul from that race. Bottas should still score 70+ points from taking pole and achieving the fastest lap, despite then having a poor race result.

On the Leclerc strategy, 1050 for me (also a very common score), up 3 places to 34.

Gasly only tied Bottas which seems remarkable when you compare their weekends... This means 1062 was in fact the perfect score.

868 here.

i think poor early season trading choices have put me well behind in the $$ department.

For what it's worth, SCS Racing league is sitting in 3rd place (y), though the top league looks like they only joined a few rounds ago.
Not sure they have their ranking algorithm properly sorted. o_O

Lewis ahead at the end of qualifying (its another sprint race weekend so qualifying happened yesterday). Mercedes and Red Bull making up places 1-4 again.

Lewis has a 5 place grid penalty for a new engine.

However he also has this to deal with.

Feeling slightly better about shifting the C from Lewis to Max, and culling a Merc for a Red Bull.

Lewis and Max may both start from the back.

"The Red Bull driver faces an inquiry over whether he violated parc ferme rules. The world championship leader was filmed touching the rear wing of his rival’s car following the qualifying session on Friday."

I don't reckon Max will get a grid penalty... probably just a reprimand or fine.

But Hamilton's DRS has been found not to be in compliance with the rules so that's a slam dunk penalty I reckon.

Lewis started from the back in the sprint race and made it up to 5th. Will start 10th after his 5 place grid penalty for a new engine.

Two pole positions in a row for Bottas. Hopefully he gets a clean start this time.

Hamilton's overtake on Norris on the last lap was just beautiful to watch. Could be in for a real show!
Hamilton clearly has the pace to win if he started at the front. If Bottas can stay ahead of Max at the start, I suspect he will try to hold Max up to give Lewis time to get back up to 3rd.
