How do these break evens work for double game rounds... do they need to get these scores in each game or combined...

cos the highest breakeven for the strikers for Rd 2 is Khan with 78, which imo is very doable over 2 games.

But it seems almost too easy for most of the Strikers, with BE's between 20-30...

Rashid Khan's B/E is actually 151 so that's what he needs from the combined 2 games.

Has something changed with the way player values are calculated this year?

It looks like players who’s played twice are having their scores averaged rather than added to determine price movements?

Also the BE’s to start the year… are they not purely based off the players price? Or do they take games at the end of last year into account?

Actually looking closer I think my question is around BE’s to start the year… do they carry through from scores at the end of last year or something?

Round 2 BE calcs:

- Please point out any gremlins as this is a combined formula / manual process ...
- +/- 1 they should be pretty much right ...
- Any players entering or coming out of a DGR may differ from SC Gold (seems to happen every year) but there is nothing I can do about that ...

My understanding is that price moves are always based on a three game average/three game sum of scores.

After R1, most players have only played one game, so there is one additional score needed to calculate a breakeven (with R1, let’s call it an “implied score”, and R2 scores then used for the three game calc).

The implied score seems to be based on a player’s price.

If I understand correctly, this essentially means that there is no advantage/disadvantage, from a breakeven or price move perspective, from that implied score … ie it’s right in line with what a player needs to score to maintain their price. It’s just included to keep the calc method consistent, when a player hasn’t yet played 2+ games for the season.

Top 20 teams - end of round 1

For those coaches at the pointy end of the overall ranking, this thread may be of some use as you endeavour to craft your way onward and upwards for the remainder of the season.

Notes:
- Below is a listing of players for the Top 20 teams with non-playing players greyed out and injured players in red text for ease of viewing.
- Also included is total points and points behind the leader for subsequent teams.
- Don't think any SCS members feature in it yet ....

Round 2 / Game 1 update (#6):

- ADE v MELR @ Adelaide Oval (7.15 pm start)

Notes:
- ADE players have another game to play yet so price changes will change yet again because of the DGR !!
- So this is not a "true" reflection yet until the next game is completed ... please don't do any trades based on that teams predictions just yet ..

- ADE won the toss and decided to Bat first ...
- No X factor players were used this game ...

Gee there are some unpopular names from an SCS perspective that were very well held amongst these teams. Henriques, SOK and Vince all owned by at least 75%.

Agree ... noticed that too ...

- They can all be held season long too ...
- So the next update will be interesting to see how many of them manage to hold their top 20 spots ... history says not many ...
- From my memory SCS members also don't start appearing for another couple of rounds ... touching wood ...

This is a good, and very useful post.
For those looking purely at High/Low BE info, it might be best when you post this table, to sort it by the BE column, rather than the Ave column.

I love this table.

Its the first place I come to when I get the chance, and look at all the BE's 😊

Hopefully mid season I'll be able to support with the SCPlus stuff like last season.

Thanks ... that is worth consideration if enough are interested ... obviously I can do it in my own tables ...

- That wouldn't take me much extra time ... I'd just add an extra post ...

I've got a 1 month free trial invite in my inbox ....

- If I take it (and it works) that should get us out to the end of round ?? ...
- Then I'll come I'll come looking for inputs from other SCS members like previous years ..
