Tried an early one
Lots of flaws, but good to have a first crack.
One or two of Cripps / Yeo / M Crouch tempt at their prices, not without false economy risk.
Maybe better to limit to one(?)
Ruck line tricky. Not sure how viable that would be.

on the X vs Y

Sicily, Coniglio, Butter looks likely in most teams

Heeney, Whitfield, Treloar bit more 50/50

Premium defenders to be mixed - number of good choices take your pick

Premium mids - looks to be 6/7 that most may pick from and unlike last year, less doubt on role this time around

Mid rookies common

Rucks - some variation with combo maybe of Gawn Grundy Darcy and Nic Nat with none being a stand out for me yet due to competition, poor late form, injuries and TOG respectively.

Fwds - Duncan vs Dunkley if just one premium

thoughts?

My favourite part of the year. Picking all the players I know who've had an injury last season who'll be better this year and hence are value, so I'll win. We all know you can't have more than person queued up at emergency... so I'll dream and come back in the new year and pick fit players.

I like all of Neale, Sicily, Cogs and Butters.

Talk to me about Berry though, what makes him a lock in your view?
He averaged 97 in his most recent injury-unaffected year, and was starting to play pure midfield at the end of 2021, which indicates he probably will again in 2022. Given his 2020 average, his position, and his age, he seems like a relatively safe bet at his price!
